I don't think this goes to trial. They'll settle for lower fee that Punk pays and that's it.
Really feel sorry for Colt. That show was the peak of,his podcast that he can never recreate, and ruined him financially and mentally. Glad he's got a spot inRoH and All In.

Yeah texts are legally binding. That's probably the main reason Colt's taking this to court. He knows he's got something for his case.

People need to stop being friends with Punk. Eh, someone he asks you to pay $200k, sometimes he buys you a house. It's worth the risk.

Gang, a text *is* legally binding. Not a joke here: If Colt can prove the text was sent from Punk's phone number and Punk can't disprove that he was the one who sent the text, that counts as a written confirmation and consent. This is especially true as the context of the conversation itself WAS a discussion of legal issues. Colt has a strong case with this. If Punk is this petty/spiteful to take this to court, it's proof he has a major mental issue that he either hasn't gotten diagnosed or won't receive proper medication for. It is? I would have thought that anything not witnessed in real time by a Notary (or Lawyer) wouldn't be binding. EDIT : Also, since Punk is the defendant, wouldn't the burden be on Colt to prove that it DID come from him, rather than the other way around? A text is legally binding. It's a written agreement. It's a contract, even moreso than a verbal agreement. Of course the burden would originally be on Colt, but Colt can prove it comes from Punk just by showing the cell phone number it came from. Unless Punk can show he didn't have access to send a message from that number at that time, it's damning. Hence why Punk has to disprove it.

Ever since the trial episodes, he's been on fire. Definitely worth a listen.

It’s always sad when two old friends let Amann come between them.

Well, shit...I was hoping they'd patched things up.
Also, I'm done with being a Punk fan. I can defend a lot of things he's done but he's being a huge asshole about this whole thing. You don't f*** over your friends.

Sad to see this friendship end. I hope Cabana gets the money he's owed in the lawsuit.

Honestly that seems like it could go either way Think it's more aimed at Colt since it seems you can say the move to sue Punk is viewed as desperate and selling out
However, yes in that context u can aim it at Punk as well but I think it's more towards Cabana

Of course that somewhat ignores the notion if you believe Punk did promise Colt legal help and he's the one that told Colt not to take down that episode which led to the legal action

It sure would help if ol' Sign Guy maybe came out and named names instead of subtweeting, wouldn't it?

In a verbal arrangement its he said, she said, your word against theirs. When you have something in writing, even if its on toilet paper, that is actual solid evidence and it falls onto he other party to disprove it.
