I get that Punk was trying to help a friend by offering him this interview but then he told him to ignore a legal document and now he’s out $500K. Unless Colt has been leeching off him for years and we’ve just never known, this is all on Punk. |

So basically it's: Punk: Let's go to this fancy restaurant! Colt: I don't know, it's really expensive. Punk: Don't worry, everything's on me! Colt: Well, in that case, okay. [check arrives] Punk: Wow, this is a lot more expensive than I anticipated. You're paying half. Colt: The hell? If you had said that we were splitting the bill before we went out, I wouldn't have agreed to go here in the first place! Of course the burden would originally be on Colt, but Colt can prove it comes from Punk just by showing the cell phone number it came from. Unless Punk can show he didn't have access to send a message from that number at that time, it's damning. Hence why Punk has to disprove it. And if it wasn't sent by Punk, wouldn't there be a bunch of old texts from Punk where he's like "WTF are you talking about? I've never said anything like that!" |

Well, guess that answers whether or not they were no longer friends. That's a total dick move on Punk's part. If your buddy needs financial help and you can cover it, you should have your buddy's back. He gave you the chance to speak your side of the story, which also dragged him into this situation, and this is how you pay him back? 100+ likes. How would anyone react if their own FRIEND did this to them? |

From some cryptic comments that Kofi made awhile ago, I think he hasn't been friends with Punk for awhile. Some of the WWE folks are friends with AJ, but I think he cut off nearly everyone. I'd like to think if Kofi even starts to say something like "Maybe I should text Punk, see how he's doing...", Big E just throws his phone into traffic and gives him a big hug until Kofi forgets all about Punk. This is canon now, and nobody will ever convince me otherwise. |

Ah, no worries, and we agree. It's passive-aggressive BS on Sign Guy's part. Not as bad as Punk's passive-aggressive BS.
But if we're misinterpreting and he's not bashing Colt, that's still on Sign Guy for not being clear.

Punk's sister tweeted some stuff about Colt I mean: 1) Punk was the one who told Colt to keep the Podcast up. 2) Punk was the one who told Colt that he'd cover his legal fees. 3) This has nothing to do whatsoever with freedom of speech. I get that someone in the immediate aftermath of a bombshell situation is going to defend their blood relative, but absolutely nothing here seems damning to Colt. Especially when you hear how Punk claimed to have deliberately chosen to go on Colt's podcast instead of a shoot interview so (paraphrasing) no-one could say he did publicly aired his grievances for money. |
