nodq.com/news/535940596.shtml"- This week's Impact Wrestling on POP TV did just 168,000 viewers. The number is coming off last week's 248,000 viewers which had been the lowest viewership for the show in 2018 so far. This week's number is one of the lowest that Impact has ever gotten" We used to mock the eternal 1.1 rating, now we're on 0.1 I don't want to hear nothing about Callis and D'Amore saving the company or improving it. This is lower than CSPAN and the f***ing food network...can this company die now? Pretty please? Every time they open the doors they keep losing money.

Preseason football drilled them with a more effective finisher than Roman's flying hug tackle.

Additionally, at the start of the month Pop could have gotten dropped by a number of cable providers making that difference happen.

...Why are you actively wanting a company that are paying wrestlers and giving a product people are enjoying to close?

Didn't POP just lose hella cable systems they're shown on? That's probably a large reason why here.

I am not one to make excuses for Impact but I gotta give them one here because didn't like every single NFL team play their first games on thursday night for preseason.

The issue is simple, the main event scene IS NOT INTERESTING.
Why would fans find Eddie Edwards interesting? He comes off like a mongoloid instead of being crazy.
Idk but its gives me bad memories of Abyssamania.
At least in the business aspect Impact seems stable.

I didn’t bother watching this and I don’t watch preseason nfl football but they had 300,000 viewers 3 weeks ago and now they have half of that. For the people saying it’s preseason football why all the sudden this year where suddenly impact is supposed to be awesome did people decide to watch football? Impact through its entire existence has never been effected by other programming other than wwe the audience they have however small is usually a loyal one.
Yes it’s better than when it was absolute garbage but that’s not high praise nothing interesting ever happens on the show.I know a lot of wrestling fans and only 1 of those people are willing to watch impact he hasn’t watched in a few months he came back for the post slammiversay show and hasn’t watched since because he feels like it’s a waste of time nothing important ever happens his only compliment of the show was Scarlett who he called that new hot chick but he’s not willing to sit through 2 hours of nothing happening tv to see her for a minute or 2.

Brian Cage is the probably their only draw they have, he hasnt appeared in 2 weeks and the viewership has drastically decreased.
Impact lacks a main hook, in 2016 it was the Broken Hardys that was helping them get 400K viewers.

PWInsider has a running tally of Impact viewership; at this time last year the show drew 277,000 viewers. Two years ago, it netted 315,000.
Surely the drop in viewers can’t be blamed solely on football, can it? Do preseason games typically score high ratings?

There is no flow or continuity to their stories it is the same issue WWE has....they wanna play in the unrealistic landscape that has su yung and rosemary but then wanna bring in MMA guys and football players it does not mesh they are doing the inbetween thing and WWE has shown that nothing good comes of it because then people are just left wondering what the company wants to be.
I mean the big glaring one lately was Madison all intents being killed and Josh sitting right there weekly being all well like whats next Don? like WTF

As much of a screwup pos he was, he truly was a draw, also the moment he got fired was when Impact viewership started to decrease back in April.
edit: 2 years ago it was Lashley vs Storm.

POP is an extremely niche cable channel that IIRC just lost a bunch of providers.
I wouldn't say it's preseason football that did anything so much as a lot less people being able to watch it in the first place.
