Can we do stories told by non-WWE (at the time) employees too? If so, how's: Ricky Steamboat was made into a faceless cartoon character with no past in 1991. Nope, they still called him Steamboat and mentioned his past time to time. Not ALWAYS but they did. Can we just say the whole Randy Savage/Stephanie story? Haha ironically Randy himself gave a lot of credence to the rumor, while promoting his rap album, an interviewer asked Randy if he slept with Stephanie before leaving the wwe, Randy said he didn’t remembered but if Triple H was mad about it then Hunter should come and pay him a visit.

Here's another one:
Chris Jericho was instantly saved when he joined the WWE. Nope. Even he didn't like his introduction, and after that promo, when he started wrestling he was firmly in the midcard (yeah, partially backstage politics and paranoia had a role to play here...) Fact is, he only became a solid main eventer during his 2008+ run.

Bret Hart was getting booed like crazy late 1996 and early 1997.
He still got huge pops on Raw and at Royal Rumble, Final Four and Wrestlemania 13 when he won. The crowd wasn't completely booibg Bret and siding with Austin immediately. Bret got a pop for eliminating Austin at the Rumble.

And the opposite, Austin was still getting some boos after Wrestlemania 13 for at least few weeks.

I think that's over exaggerated itself, people act as if Hogan actually believes all that happened, or is suffering from dementia. His court case proved that Hogan knows the difference between reality and the things he often says. It hasn't, however, stopped him from making ridiculous exaggerated claims almost every time a camera is in front of him. He also considered running for President. Sounds like he should have. Would’ve won.

The amount of hatred fans had for Rocky Maivia has definitely been exaggerated. I watched through that whole run and he definitely had some chants going in certain cities but they were far from the majority of the crowd. He certainly wasn't getting over as a babyface but he was far from despised. Oooooo this definitely. There was apathy for sure, but no hatred til he turned heel and joined the Nation. That's when you got the deafening 'ROCKY SUCKS' chants. Before then he was just a cookie cutter babyface that the crowd didn't care about. The whole 'Die Rocky Die' stuff is blown WAY out of proportion. It suits the naraartive better of him creating 'The Rock' persona.

Watching PPVs from early 97, he's still getting a generally positive reaction.

Wasn’t “Die Rocky Die!” a chant in one of the old video games or am I making this up?

Anything on the Self Destruction DVD, particularly the part where King said Warrior wearing a cap during the picture smash segment was bad and unusual. I don't see it. Warrior wore his own brand merchandise even in his heyday so it wasn't anything unusual.

King also said that him wearing his hat was also the reason that their feud(and match at KOTR) wasn't any good. No King, the match at KOTR wasn't any good because it was a really crappy match, where you spent half of it choking Warrior.

Lawler said in another interview later that he took the hat as a sign Warrior didn't trust him to do the spot where he smashed Warrior over the head with the picture, even though Lawler had told Warrior beforehand it wasn't real glass and he was going to use the other side anyways.

Knowing this took place in a high school makes the picture amazing.. The English teacher had enough of the douchebag student sticking gum everywhere and calling him grandpa.

Adam Rose said Vince Mcmahon was meant to be the Bunny.
As hilarious as that sounds, I don’t buy that story one bit.

What high school was that at? The gym I went to was almost big enough for a basketball game.

On the one hand, yes, it's ridiculous on the face of it. But on the other hand, it's EXACTLY the kind of nutty shit Vince would do because HE finds it funny.

WWE: Austin was so tough, he refused to tap out to the sharpshooter.
Reality: He got his ass kicked so bad by Bret Hart he passed out.
Yes, we was tough, but when you pass out in real life, this means you got your ass kicked so badly to be passed out.
Plus, the crowd did pop huge when Bret won. He wasn't booed until he attack Austin after the match.
The crowd still wanted to cheer Bret and did all the way up to him attacking him. Booed my ass WWE. It wasn't 50-50 cheers, it was like 90-95% pro Bret when the bell rang.
