Hey, so someone leaked the "cameos" in HD and, without context of the plot or whatever, somehow worse in motion.
Like, I get why it was done that way, VFX is cheaper and you can abuse people who work there because no unions but...like, Grant Gastin I can understand because Flash was filming but...Melissa Benoit's probably in the area because she hasn't anything major going on, couldn't just get her in costume for 5 minutes? The CW dragged the actors of the original Birds of Prey show for one last rodeo, were they somehow too expensive for you? What happened here?
Again, how did Chip Zdarsky and Mike Hawthorne do a better tribute to the DC multiverse in about 40 or so pages that probably didn't even cost 1/4th of Miller's paycheck than the movie studio did with millions of dollars?

I just saw the Cameo thing... my first thought is...
who embezzeled the effects budget for this movie... cause holy crap that was bad.
even just the shot of Christopher Reeve landing the background was a different quality than him... but then they tried to do some weird cgi rotate of him and he turned into a Video Game character...

Hell Nick Cage was there on set.. he was filmed... and he looked probably worse than George and Christopher... “Oh, he just appeared and they didn’t do a thing with him CG wise” Oh yeah, he just looks 15 years younger because that’s how he still looks now.

I have a few more thoughts on this. 1. the Superman Lives things kinda proves that they don't know what the hell they were doing or what they wanted with this. Cause Superman Lives is not a movie... it's a god damned punchline. In fact, since it's not a movie there is no reason to deage Nic.... since the movie doesn't exist it doesn't f***ing matter if we have 2020's Cage or 1990's Cage. Secondly, this is the future that the studios want. This entire thing was done with shitty AI deep fakery. So they can just make the movie with a plug and play actors and not have to actually pay any of them. You'd think with how poor this looks the studios would be a little more hesitant sticking to their guns about it.

So apparently WB were completely blindsided by this somehow. From all accounts they weren't behind a film so much since The Dark Knight... And expected it to be just as successful Which just makes me scratch my head... Because like Why THIS movie over like any other? No one, outside of WB I guess, seemed hyped for this movie. If anything it has antihype from a myriad of outside factors. From constant rescheduling, Ezra being a shithead, the Snyderverse being unappealing to movie goers in general, etc... The hype for the movie was for Keaton and Supergirl, not the freaking main character or story (because they weren't gonna do what the comic and animated movie did). That should have been a giant warning sign to WB.

I had a laugh about the giant spider. Someone on that movie is a fan of Kevin Smith.

That should have been a giant warning sign to WB. If only there was a cheaper movie that WB mostly finished that not only starred Michael Keaton but also starred a Commissioner Gordon people also really liked in JK Simmons and was fronted by someone who hasn't been accused of punching women and causing problems up and down the state of Hawaii. It's a shame that, legally, such a thing doesn't exist anymore.

Man, can you believe JK Simmons got this ripped to play Commissioner Gordon: Only to get no more than two minutes of screentime in either cut of Justice League (in which he never takes his coat off) and then have the movie he did have screentime in written off to save less than 10% of what The Flash has lost? Still, at least he's kept up the work and gets to show it off in Rock's Christmas movie.

It's a shame that, legally, such a thing doesn't exist anymore. Black Adam, Shazam 2, and The Flash are the 3 DC movies that have been released since they cancelled Batgirl. And all 3 haven't just been flops, they lost more money than Batgirl could. But Batgirl might have hurt the DC brand.

Those Superman "cameos" are horrific. Not just because they're badly realized but because whoever decided to put them in there really doesn't understand why cameos work. It feels like someone had a check list of Superman actors to include without any consideration as to how to use them. In wrestling terms, it's going for the cheap pop instead of the well-constructed promo.

What are those big floating things, memberberry planets? I'm guessing representations of universes which, to give an inch bit of credit, isn't a terrible way to represent them. Like, what would have sort of made it cooler is if instead of AI representations of stuff, maybe using actual footage of things and then have live action cameos of people, you know, actually alive looking at the tears but you know, we have to remind the family of George Reeves that he killed himself because he hated being type casted as Superman by having him be Superman in death.

I'm nota big fan of the projector film thing they did on them as it did make it look more like hey check out the ips/films we own.
