Out of respect. Like, if any of us met Vince, we'd at least shake his hand. I met him once in 98 and I didn’t shake his hand because I don’t know where that things been instead I went a respectful head nod but that’s back when he was still good at his job if I met him now I’d ask him why he’s such a dumbass now. Its almost like the fans think it’s those damn writers fault forcing Vince to put out the product he does.

Why? Because he (along with Hogan) f***ing made wrestling what it is. Without Vince McMahon does wrestling even exist today? The dude had a vision and busted his ass for decades to make it happen. Do I agree with or like everything he's done? No. You can't argue with the results though. If I met Vince I'd shake his hand and if he showed up to a WWE event I attended I'd cheer the hell out of him out of respect for creating something that has given me joy for the last 25 years.

Without him 99% of us would have never fallen in love with this stupid sport. He's an old crazy stubborn man but he's a f***ing legend who made Wrestlemania, bumped off a cage through a table, has given us countless quotes and always knew when to embarrass himself. If you attend a WWE show and you get a chance to see Vince McMahon live. What exactly are you going to do? Sit on your hand because you think he's "out of touch" or should "retire"? Or are you going to cheer like mad because you get a rare appearence of one of the most larger then life personalities in TV and real life right before your eyes. I definally agree a lot of the criticism about him are justified, but when your their live and "No Chance" hits and he struts his way out, you can't help but cheer like mad for the guy. I've been going to WWE shows pretty regularly since 2002, I have only ever seen Vince once, and he came out at a SD taping in Liverpool to tell us off for being too quiet. "LIVERPOOL! SOUNDS LIKE AN OLD MAN'S SKIN DISEASE. HAVE SOME FUN DAMMIT!!!" So my only experience with Vince is him essentially telling me off. I wouldn't have it any other way!

This...
Plus he made WWE fun. I never would have got into wrestling if I was watching World Of Sport with Big Daddy and the likes but I took a glimpse of WWE one day and I was hooked.

If you genuinely hate a guy, spending 40 - 100 bucks to see a show you don't like to boo him is about the most backwards way to stick it to a guy you can name.

Remember how weird it was to see Vince's old man head on his Greek God-like body when he first busted out the tank top? Was Lawler losing his mind about it? Am I remembering correctly? I think that was Royal Rumble 99, when Vince came out at number two to face Austin and wasn't wearing a shirt, and to be fair the dude looked jacked. Lawler lost his and had a great line, something like "You gotta hand it to Shane McMahon, he has created a monster!!".

Same reason they cheer the Million Dollar Man, IRS, Iron Shiek, Bob Backlund, etc. Like them, Vince has transcended the face/heel dynamic and is now a legend people love for the years of entertainment they've provided.

Having seen Vince live before, he definitely has this presence that, love him or hate him, just commands respect. So the return pops never surprise me.

Because not every fan of WWE sits there for hours on end scrutinising the 'politics' behind certain storyline decisions and as difficult as this might be for some people to comprehend, most just don't care - they're there for a great show and Vinnie Mac is one of the greatest showmen of all time.

If you are at a WWE event in 2018 and you hear Vince's theme music, and aren't yelling NO CHANCE, NO CHANCE IN HELL with the theme, I can't even comprehend you.

It's just like when Hogan (pre-racism scandal) would show up. It's nostalgia, it's gratitude, it's people being pleased to see him. People watch the product because they enjoy it. The number of people who watch the product resentfully out of a sense of entitlement and do nothing but bitch about it, aren't the majority. However what happens is that people surround themselves by people who watch the product resentfully out of a sense of entitlement and do nothing but bitch about it like they do, and it creates an echo chamber and they think they're the majority view.
WWE has a core loyal fanbase and to be honest many of them (us) are miserable as sin. But for the majority it's a television show. Going to a Raw is a fun evening out with friends. Have a couple of beers, get rowdy, join in the chants. That's what people use it for. Not to sit there hunched over in the corner refusing to make a noise because X held Y down and or refused to push Z, or "politics". People go to wrestling shows to have fun.

2 Things 1)You don’t know me 2)And I ain’t afraid of an elderly man who ruined something that I used to love 2Edgy4Me I think asking a dumbass why their a dumbass is a fair question and there’s far worse things you could ask him what’s the worst that could happen he tries to kick my ass and tears a quad? I’m sorry I don’t Hero worship like most people here seemingly do and I won’t bow at the altar of incompetence just because someone was once good at what they do.
