Because it's Vince. Vince McMahon, the man who built the WWE into what it is today. The most maddening, eccentric, PT Barnum-esque man in wrestling. And yet, there's a reasonable chance 99% of any WWE crowd are wrestling fans thanks to that man. He is basically Mr Wrestling, or Mr Wrestling Gateway Drug at the very least. Ain't no crowd booing him in 2018.
Also, he might be, by all accounts, a complete lunatic with binary vision, a Scrooge McDuck complex, and the ability to make the wrong moral decision in public more times than is healthy, but he's OUR complete lunatic...

I guess not pushing the people we like is a beat up-able offense now. "Yeeeeah I don't think I'm gonna put the belt on Fandango." Square Up, Old Man. Where did anyone say anything like that? You understand that there's a difference between actual physical violence and just speaking one's mind yeah? Noone said they'd physical beat up Vince over booking decisions. They said they'd tell him what they thought about those booking decisions. "What's the worst that could happen" was about Vince's hypothetical reaction. He was laughing off everyone insisting that he wouldn't speak his mind to Vince given the chance, acting like they knew him better than he knows himself, and saying why should I be intimidated into silence? He never said he would initiate violence on the man. It's a jooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooke.

Vince is probably everything I think is wrong with this world in regards to his personal and many professional decisions. But I respect him and thank him for giving me the many years of entertainment and the bonding that me and my dad have from watching Wrestling together. I’ll always thank for that.

The dude is responsible for an insanely huge part of my childhood. Like, I can't even imagine my life without growing up with the WWF/WWE. So I could never boo him because of that, and all the other things people already said in this thread.
