Maybe you feel guilty for calling them boring, but what made these films boring to you?

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
It's so long, nothing really happens and I find the portrayals of the titular characters to be bland.

Titanic. It's a visually stunning movie, and from a technical perspective is astounding but f*** me I hate that movie. It's such a slog to get through

Going to get a lot of flack for this one...but 2001: A Space Odyssey. Fantastic cinematography, and a small handful of quotable lines...but dear lord is it a slog to get through.

I love the assasination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford, but yeah, easy to see how it'd bore many. Nothing has bored me more than recently watching Dunkirk. Oh good God.

I know it's not a popular opinion, but I find most Tarantino movies boring as shit. They're all long as hell, and less because of storytelling and more because he puts in these goddamn 20 minute monologues.

If they cut out all the big dialog scenes Deathproof would be a good movie in my opinion. Think his other movies are decent though.

Going to get a lot of flack fojr this one...but 2001: A Space Odyssey. Fantastic cinematography, and a small handful of quotable lines...but dear lord is it a slog to get through. Fully agree with that, I’ve still never managed to watch it all in one sitting. My choice is Citizen Kane. I have nothing but respect for how influential it is and that it was so far ahead of its time. But it’s boring. Some Terence Malick films also fit this criteria for me. The New World was stunning to look at and technically, it’s something very special. But it’s guilty of style over substance. “Oh look, a beautiful exotic bird, look at all the colours, we should keep it onscreen for ages”. The Thin Red Line gets similar criticism.

It’s nothing to do with them being women because I like the characters, but that scene where the four of them are in the diner comes across as unnatural. It just seems like it’s in there for the sake of it.

Gravity.
It's just an hour and a half but feels closer to 3 and a half.

I didn't find it boring, but in no way was that a Best Picture deserving film I haven't seen the other movies nominated that year though except Lincoln (Better movie but it is more of one man Daniel Day Lewis show than anything) and Silver Linings Playbook (probably wouldn't have even been nominated in a year with fewer nominations)

Lost in Translation was extremely tedious.
I fell asleep during Blade Runner 2049, woke up, and hadn't missed anything. -On that note, any dramatic Gosling movie. Drive was dull as hell, the guy isn't intense, he's taking a nap.
Terence Malick in general.
The Phantom Thread was very slow, despite some cool sound work and colors. In regards to Anderson, The Master was also very plodding, but There Will Be Blood is one of my favorite movies.
Many more, but these are the ones leaping to mind.

I had to watch Citizen Kane for a class in college. I remember nearly falling asleep several times.

Titanic takes forever to get through. I also saw First Man, a few weeks ago. Not sure if it's critically acclaimed, but, it was extremely slow and boring. People in the theater, were falling asleep.
