Dunkirk is the only movie where I fell asleep on purpose while watching it.

I love titanic!
Lord of the rings for me.
Death proof (maybe not critically acclaimed)
Also acclaimed or not, monuments men is the most boring film ever

The LOTR trilogy. Fell asleep during all of them in the theater at their respective releases, and I'm a person who has made it through the 312 minute cut of Ingmar Bergman's "Fanny and Alexander" in one sitting with no issue.

Lord of the rings. All of them. Never got the appeal. Never will. Aww, you didn't even like the battle of Helm's Deep?

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button for me. It's one of those movies that takes only the basic premise of it's source material, recognizes that it wouldn't make a good movie, and desperately tries to craft something out of it. Only, unlike say, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, it doesn't seem like the editor had any desire to his work and actually cut irrelevant scenes, or the whole Hurricane Katrina overstory or the epilogue wouldn't exist.

I like a lot of Bond movies, Thunderball being my favorite. But the most acclaimed is From Russia with Love, which I find painfully dull.

Top of my head I found Winter Soldier and Gran Torino unbelievably boring.

Going to get a lot of flack for this one...but 2001: A Space Odyssey. Fantastic cinematography, and a small handful of quotable lines...but dear lord is it a slog to get through. Have you seen it in theaters?

Also, The Lovely Bones is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Nobody likes this movie. It's a shower of shit.

Lord of the rings. All of them. Never got the appeal. Never will. GOD yes. I've never seen Return of the King but I've seen both of the other two a couple of times and those things are just snoozefests. About the best thing I'll give them is Fellowship of the Ring is probably the closest thing to a video game movie ever, as it really and truly captures the feeling of slogging through spending three hours assembling your party while you wait for the plot to actually start.

"Me and You and Everyone We Know" epitomizes mid-aughts pretentiousness. Miranda July is so, so awful as a filmmaker.

Get ready to hate me, but Inception. Cool concept, excellent visuals, and some good sequences, but I was getting bored watching it. I thought about saying Inception but wasn't too sure. I didn't hate it but I certainly didn't understand the love.

Seemed to be intended as a philosophical thought piece, but was just a load of self-important garbage. I remember being so frustrated when it ended on a note so obscenely self-congratulatory, the cast might as well done an onscreen curtain call chanting "We Are Awesome!"

Have you seen it in theaters? That's how I originally saw it through its entirety, when there was a limited run at one of our local theatres. As I said, it LOOKS nice, but that's not going to make it any more 'not boring' (to me) to get through.

Here's one that may get me some hate on here: Vertigo. Or rather it was dull on a repeat viewing. The first time I saw it I was interested in what was going on. But the 2nd time? It felt like too much of Jimmy Stewart following Kim Novak around and it was nearly sleep inducing.
Oblivion with Tom Cruise is another movie that nearly put me to sleep.
