Who's the oddest celebrity who's been used in wrestling? Tonya Harding showing up in AAA was pretty odd, and for something more mainstream,Former Headbangers Ball host Riki Ratchman doing some work for WCW in 1999, who was hardly a household name even back in the glory days of HBB.

Probably one of the YouTube stars that WWE has tried to do things with.
So either Inanna Sarkis or Poppy.

Tiny Tim doing an angle with Jerry Lawler back in 1993 has to be pretty up there, yeah WWE had obviously used musicians before in angles but they catered towards the hip young demographics they were chasing after, whereas Tiny Tim not so much.

Even better - "Herb" from the Burger King commercials of the same time, on the same Wrestlemania card as Peller. At least Peller's commercials were wildly popular. Herb was a gimmick based on people not even knowing what he looked like.

I wouldn't say "used" but drawing attention to James Corden's parents in the crowd at Raw once was pretty weird.

I would probably say Buzz Aldrin when he hosted Raw in 2010.

Mary Tyler Moore at WM6 baffles me. I get that she’s an icon of Television but what exactly does she have to do with Wrestlemania? As far as I know she has no connection to Toronto, had no new show she was currently trying to pimp and wasn’t really in the public eye all that much in 1990. Yet there she is giving uncomfortable interviews where it appears she’d rather be anywhere else and knows absolutely jack shit about WWF or wrestling in general. Steve Allen at least looks like he’s having a laugh (even if he was later on part of the PTC crusade against Vince) and Rona Barrett did her “gossip” bit by interviewing Liz and hinting she had video footage of Jesse with his trousers down.

I think MTM was just attending the show. She was not advertised beforehand like Allen and Barrett were.

As grating as she was (and that phrase in particular) in 1986 she was the star of one of the biggest shows in the US, so on name recognition alone she was a decent name to get. Plus she was (may still be) married to Dick Ebersol who was part of Vince’s inner circle.

But it was one of those “here’s a random celeb, let’s do a bit with them” moments. See also Natalie Cole at WM9.

I can picture some British centric celebrities being odd for the US audience (ie Ricky Hatton and Jose Mourinho).
Mourinho's is especially awkward as they used him to get a cheap pop without realising there's more then one football club in London.

I'm going with fictional characters, like RoboCop, Chucky, and Adam West's Batman showing up to argue with Jerry Lawler on Memphis TV.
