WHAT THE F*** WAS THAT?
They really shit the bed hard in MSG. Shit was just bad for them and they looked nowhere near the level of NJPW. If this was a NJPW show it be up there as a great show but ROH brought the bar down so low
Kenny f**ing King winning the horrendous Rumble
Them going with the safest pick ever in Taven
Shit was bad

I think that ROH has outlived it’s usefulness, especially if AEW does well. Even if it doesn’t NXT has made it obsolete.

Can we talk about WOH somehow getting even worse than it already was?
I don't think anyone besides certain people in power were clamoring for yet more nepotism or the Beautiful People part 99,157.

let's look at the thread from this forum on ROH Roster Moves officialfan.proboards.com/thread/580875/roh-roster-movesGuys signed to ROH according to this thread Jeff Cobb PCO Brody King Zach Sabre Jr. Mark Haskins Bandido PJ Black (f/k/a Justin Gabriel) "Hot Sauce" Tracy Williams Rush (CMLL star, exclusive to the US That's a lot of talent what are they doing? PCO and Brody King are getting a push in Villain Enterprises but will that last when Marty leaves? ZSJ is basicall just gonna go to ROH when he has time. I doubt he will ever be used in feuds... but since he's a fairly big player for New Japan when he's there I doubt he'll lose to anybody in ROH Haskins,Bandido, and Williams are in Juice's faction Lifeblood... and they really arent doing anything. Bandido won't be made to look like bad but he wn't be pushed. Cobb got pushed but with him now being the NEVER Champ I bet he starts showing up less and less Black hasn't done anything of note yet. Rush will likely beat a lot of people but never get a push. Rumors are he's kind of pissed with how ROH handled his MLW agreements and is basically just going to honor the contract. ROH is afraid to commit to people because of NXT and now AEW. Hell... for as far as Impact has fallen I wouldn't be surprised if they are now considered a more attractive option due to the more open contracts

I'll defend the triple threat match as the crowd got super into it and I think Taven is very talented and walking the right line in terms of the heat he's getting. Everything else was either confusing or showed their weaknesses. The Beautiful People and Enzo/Cass stuff is bush league. The WOH match had nothing to offer. Rush didn't have a chance to show anything. I love Lethal but he's got nothing going for him right now. The structure of their roster just doesn't make sense. They've beaten Marty a ton. Lethal is cold. Taven is fine but he needs a challenger which doesn't really exist. They don't have an it guy and the only ones who feel like they can there are Cobb (who's stuck in the midcard right now) and Bandido who's being showcased but isn't picking up wins. They need to retool things and just pick a new guy who is over and strap a rocket to their ass.

It really was disappointing. The production was terrible (bad camera, showing the set up for PCO's entrance instead of waiting till it was finished, and whatever happened with Enzo/Cass) and their roster is extremely thin.

Well he did beat Dalton Castle tonight in quick fashion so that constitutes as a push moving forward in terms of taking him seriously

This show was supposed to be a big coup for ROH, but man, I felt kind of bad for them. They could not have possibly been more obviously the second fiddle tonight. Like, Cobb looked good, but most of the rest just ended up looking outclassed.
Good for Taven, I suppose, it is still so much less dull than Lethal at this point, but even if he's leaving in a few months, I'd have put the belt on Marty and have him drop it to Taven later.

They put the title on Kyle O'Reily for like 2 weeks knowing he was leaving and Adam Cole after him knowing he was leaving so yeah they could have put it on Marty if they really wanted to

The majority of ROH tonight was basically a bunch of generic dudes no one cares about with a bunch of washouts sprinkled in. It would have been bad at any time, but next to New Japan it was embarrassing and came off like a bunch of weird Americans drunkenly flopping about Japan and refusing to go away.

And that's not even talking about the stupid shit with Enzo and Cass that ROH supposedly didn't let NJPW know about and killing one their angles with Yano
Shit was a mess

What's telling about tonight is that ROH seems to have no confidence in its talent anymore. Despite their anniversary show apparently being pretty decent from most accounts. To follow that up with garbage booking like tonight is just embarrassing. They've still got the talent, the ROH brand still has cache. Yet the booking is just garbage. Instead of trusting these wrestlers to draw in the crowds, they book for shock value instead. Of all the nights to pull this shit, they chose the one where most eyes were probably on them. I just don't understand what they're doing. They look so third rate right now, especially when contrasted to the New Japan side.

I think that ROH has outlived it’s usefulness, especially if AEW does well. Even if it doesn’t NXT has made it obsolete. Man, it bums me out that WWE made its own ROH and is killing the OG with it. Although, it's been over a year since I've even watched ROH, so I'm not exactly helping the cause.

I’m just struggling to wrap my head around ROH, the company that’s been the standard in America for years in terms of pure wrestling, signing the f***ing Beautiful People and Enzo and Cass. And that’s not even getting into putting the strap on Matt Taven, who is fine but not a guy I would ever consider a top champion.
New Japan has to be second guessing themselves.
