Lord the pettiness of it all. They’re playing it perfectly though. They know their audience.

Missed this and the Main Event in general, due to having to work. But I'm So damn glad he's somewhere where he can be used to his full potential.

Does anyone think this will finally light a fire under vinces ass or will the wwe just play it off? I’m not really expecting much to happen until the TNT weekly show starts up. And even then, they’re likely not going to be directly head-to-head in the same timeslot. So, either nothing happens for a while or they try to do something but it doesn’t take because their issues run deeper than anything that can be resolved in one episode of TV.

When the Shield debuted, Ambrose felt like one of the only guys in WWE in years who really had the potential to become a breakout megastar on or even above Cena's level. He had the perfect mixture of the charisma and larger-than-life persona to hook in a wider audience, plus the in-ring work and indie cred to appeal to the hardcore fans. WWE booked him in the top handful of fulltime guys, but I'm still baffled they didn't push him harder; there's not a single other person on their roster who feels like they're on the same level of embodying everything WWE should be looking for in a headliner. If they use him right, I think Moxley and AEW can go very, very far together. Unfortunately for him, by even the time the Shield debuted the WWE had already pretty much made up their minds Roman was their made man of the group. He was helped even less by Seth, and not him, getting the traitor gig and Seth really coming into his own and becoming a more well rounded worker that fit so nicely as a rival for Roman to chase and dismantle. Which left him as "the other guy" of the Shield despite his potential to be so much more than that. Hopefully he can fulfill that potential in AEW and elsewhere now.

AEW's taking Tuesdays, almost certainly, and Smackdown's going back to Fridays. Pairing that with Cody saying PPVs are not going to be a monthly affair, and you have little chance of direct, head to head competition, so that isn't going to be an issue. Now, is WWE going to be feeling pressure? They already have, with wrestlers being given big raises when contract negotiations come up, and that's when AEW was merely announced. There's going to be some pushback, but what form that'll take, who knows. If Vince was just being bad on purpose, somehow, WWE wouldn't be in the mess they're in right now. For everyone's sake, I hope WWE wakes up, but I question the ability for them to do that without Vince riding off into the sunset.

Apparently Moxley came to AEW wanting to talk a deal.
He sure is good at keeping secrets when he was on WWE.

Does anyone think this will finally light a fire under vinces ass or will the wwe just play it off? Doubt it Vince is going to look at this as one really hot show. A fire won't be lit under Vince ass until they start doing good numbers on TV and even then it is a matter of Vince just acknowledging he has competition I think if this was HHH, he'd accept the challenge but Vince is going to laugh it off until he can't anymore

Vince is the problem and at 73, he's set in his ways. Unless he steps away from creative control, there's no change coming for the foreseeable future.
