But would anyone else have done any better all things considered? The entire team cost less than £7m, you could have had Guardiola and Klopp combined managing that team and they'd struggle. I think a lot of people overlooked how one-dimensional Norwich were in their promotion-winning season. They were heavily reliant on Pukki's goals, to the point where after him only one player scored 10 or more goals. This season he hasn't been as prolific (though 11 league goals for a bottom-of-the-table side is by no means a bad return), and the lack of anything backing him up has showed - Cantwell is their second-highest goalscorer with six goals, and after him it's a tie between eight players on one goal.

What a thrilling end to the Championship season. I'm exhausted.
45 goals! With all the twists and turns that's surely one of the best final days to any division in recent memory.

So happy for Barnsley, but talk about leaving it until the last second.

Was hoping Brentford would go up but they still have a chance.
Man Forest completely blew it didn’t they. Should have comfortably been in the playoffs.
Feel really sorry for Wigan but well played to Barnsley & Luton for staying up.

juventus have to wait a bit longer for that scudetto as they lost 2-1 to udinese but being six points in front of atalanta and seven points in front of inter milan it's just a matter of time ... for your favourite player called christian ronaldo to gurn his way straight to your hearts

The next Premier League season (barring anything going on globally) will start September 12th and end on my birthday May 23rd.
So I expect an Arsenal title win as a present.
Stop laughing!

Who do Lille have in charge of their transfers, because that guy must be some kind of wizard. Since 2018 they've sold Yves Bissouma to Brighton for £15m, who's gone on to struggle to get game time in an unspectacular Brighton midfield. Ibrahim Amadou to Sevilla for £13m, a player who was so bad, he couldn't get into the Norwich team this season. Nicolas Pepe to Arsenal for £72m, a talented player on his day, but who has run hot and cold all season and has had to fight for his place with various youth team players in what has been a poor Arsenal side. Rafael Leao to Milan for £20m, a striker they got on a free transfer and has proceeded to score five goals for his new club. Thiago Mendes to Lyon also for £20m, the only noteworthy thing I could find about his form this season is that he's been partying too much and now Victor Osimhen to Napoli for a rumoured £55m after a single season in Ligue 1 in which he scored a not exactly world beating 13 in 27 games. On these players alone they've made a profit of approximately £163.5m on what seem like on paper to be a bunch of fairly average players. Football gone mad or a genius at the helm?

Arsenal also got Gervinho from Lille. Yeah.
I’m still convinced Pepe will come good he’s had flashes of brilliance but hasn’t been consistent enough.

Is Daniel Farke finally going to be axed from Norwich? Little late to the party, but as a Norwich fan, I personally can't see him being sacked at all. Nobody honestly expected to get promoted last year - we were into the 2nd year of a complete club and cultural overhaul at Norwich and last season just happened to be one hell of an over-achievement in truth (we finished the previous season 14th and sold Maddison, who was pretty much the heart and soul of our core 11). Our youth set-up finally seemed/seems to be paying dividends but we're still working on shoe-string budgets, with finances now improved thanks to a year in the PL. We were never gonna throw money around again like previous PL seasons (£8.5M for Naismith in 2016?!) so we stuck to our plan, spent next to nothing and now return to the Championship in a much more secure financial position where we don't HAVE to sell players to keep afloat (though some will inevitably leave). We'll stick with Farke - but if we end up going the way of Ipswich? Maybe the board will change their tune.

Brighton look set to sign Adam Lallana from Liverpool on a free transfer. Would be a great signing for Brighton if Lallana can find the form that got him a move to Liverpool.

A no brainer on a free transfer. Lack of talent has never been his issue, just needs some better luck with fitness. Will add some quality and top level experience to Brighton's Midfield if he can keep fit.
