TNA inviting Rod Blagojevich to join the Main Event Mafia is still the strangest clout chasing scheme I've ever seen a wrestling company try f***ing WHAT?!?!?

The last OSW Review had the guys talking about Exposed! Wrestling's Secrets and how both WCW and WWF mentioned about how our secrets were exposed. I remember the promo with Mankind and Al Snow, that was fairly amusing. There was an aborted topical comment from JCP, when Jim Cornette said throwing fire at Ronnie Garvin was like the Challenger going up in flames. Dusty Rhodes was NOT amused, and the line never made it to air.

Stephanie McMahon comparing her dad's steroids trial to 9/11. Okay, I still say I don't consider this malicious. Remember we saw nothing like this, or most of us haven't, so who's to say what we compare it to? But it's Steph so it's all that's evil in the world. It's like the Britney Spears moment from Fahrenheit 9/11 (won't elaborate due to our rules). I think she meant well* though the words seemed pretty stupid. * - by "meant well," either she meant that we should have each other's backs, orrrrrrrrr.....I don't want to get blackballed like the Dixie Chicks.

I can excuse and even forgive Steph for what she said, basically for the reason that you could tell she was genuinely very angry at what happened just 2 days before. Her country was being come after in 2001, just as her family was being come after in 1994, which also made her very angry I'm sure, so maybe 9/11 tapped backed into that 1994 time period for her. (The real problem was: 3,000+ killed in 9/11 vs 0 people killed in the McMahon family in 1994, that's why it was a less-than-perfect comparison.) I can forgive Britney too, because you could tell she was feeling like "look, I'm just a teenager who sings for entertainment, I'm not paid to know all the things about world issues and politics, so I'll defer to the #1 guy who is, ok."

Went back and looked at the Stephanie McMahon 9/11 comments and yeah that is indefensible. Steph, your dad deserved to be "gone after" and the world would be a better place if he were put away. Although I don't know that I'd qualify that for this topic as it wasn't a "nod" to anything it was a different sort of show altogether.
I'd say the Billy and Chuck stuff turning out to be fake. With gay marriage being a hotly contested issue around that time, having two guys have a gay relationship(even being lauded by GLAAD iirc) and it just turn out to be a publicity stunt? Holy crap that is tasteless.

Wasn’t Abe Knuckleball Schwartz literally a jab at the baseball strike?

Wasn’t Abe Knuckleball Schwartz literally a jab at the baseball strike? At the same time, WWF aired a commercial featuring a boy in an empty baseball field. Macho Man then plays baseball with the boy. Followed by the phrase "Our Season Never Ends".

Nearly every promotion doing the Mike Tyson ear biting bit in 1997, Pillman did it to Mankind on Raw and Francine bit Terry Funks ear on ECW causing Douglas to be disqualified during their match.
