Whatever help then sleep at night I guess Only Ali has any amount of moral ground when it comes to saudi I get Ali's rationale and it's better than most, I guess, but don't forget Sami, Kevin, Daniel, and whoever else who decide not to go and stick with it, no matter what. Yeh I was just talking about the ones that did go.Not gonna bring in the ones that don`t wanna get involved in the first place

I think there are many ways to explain away Rusev’s ‘pray for me’ remarks that don’t involve him covering up for WWE. 1) He was in a situation where paranoia feeds paranoia and may have genuinely felt in danger at the time, but now realizes that he was overreacting. 2) Like he says, he uses that vernacular all the time. (I do as well. It’s pretty common way of saying ‘send good vibes’ in the Arab world.) 3) Flight delays suck. He never felt in danger. Any of those. Some of those in combination. Pretty much where I’m at is that the Saudis and Vince had an issue and there’s a convincing case that the Saudis altered the plans for Smackdown to prove a point. I’m not even saying it relates to WWE, it just relates to what words and phrases mean. Most people don’t use that phrasing to mean send good vibes but to help in a bad situation. Like, people were worried and saying “Prayers” would mean, to me anyway, that someone is hurt or sick or, at worst, in danger. Which, justifiably, would have people worried. I'll just drop in and say I have heard pray for me used in the context Rusev mentions a lot. Maybe it is some culture thing but saying pray for me in non-serious situation strikes me as pretty normal.

So Curtis Axel needs to answer to his tweet. Seems everyone who spoke up has either said something else. Or got called out by HHH like Anderson did.
Come on Curtis, what did you really mean?

I’m actually surprised Anderson didn’t ask for a release on the spot in that meeting. If his WIFE was freaking out and he was worried, he is right to say something. But it says a lot about Hunter’s character to choose to give him a hard time about it. But the truth is I’m so fed up with Vince and stuff like this, I WANT talent to leave. He doesn’t care, he’s not booking worth a damn and he cares more about his financials than the people who are working to earn him the money. And this comes from a very loyal die hard. Now that there is competition, let’s get the talent out there and see what they can make of themselves.

Well I mean Sami isn't allowed to go. Which isn't the worst thing in the world. But I wonder if that plays a role in the reason they never pull the trigger on him.

Even before this deal, Sami was thought of as being annoying and obnoxious backstage by management. I could see that a management team where even the youngest members were 10 years older than Sami not knowing what to do with him.

Here was Rusev's comment, which, well... hmm.. In an interview with thesun.co.uk, Rusev commented on the Saudi Arabia trip for Crown Jewel and if he'll travel again to the country: "The frustration just grew by each hour and me asking for prayers is nothing new," he said. "My father is a pastor, (...) so I always ask for prayers just because I wanted to go home, not because we were held hostage. I don't think anyone in their rightful mind is going to hold 170 people, American citizens, hostage, I don't think that'll reflect well anywhere." "I make a lot of money, I will definitely go back. I love it, I love every single trip that we do there, I love how we break barriers with women wrestling there and Lana being able to go. I think it's a great victory for the company, not just for that, but to open new doors and new opportunities to develop further, it's just amazing. It's a great opportunity for us to be ambassadors for entertainers." www.thesun.co.uk/sport/10320159/wwe-rusev-denies-hostage-saudi-arabia-crown-jewel-women-wrestling/They actually believe this breaking barriers bullshit. Guess what guys, in between your first and second Saudi shows, an American journalist was tricked, captured, and chopped up into little pieces. You aren't breaking barriers, you are well paid propaganda. Part of me hopes Rusev is just saying this because he's being paid to say it, doesn't want to get in trouble etc. Because if he actually does believe it, between this and his recent Tweets attacking fans over literally nothing I've lost a lot of respect for a dude I wanted to see reach the absolute peak at one point.

Being a WWE is a good metric on how much you are willing to sell your soul. Not saying you need to go public saying 'WWE SUX,FIRE ME'.Even if he was paid I lost respect to him, you don't treat people badly and sell propaganda for dictators for money. Even if he just said "i want the money so I will go back"sure whatever,I doubt that would make any difference to the Saudi public image,go ahead and drain then for all they are worth. But once you actually try to sell how great and progrssive they are,you lost it for me.

"Rusev started and mostly thanked Mark Carrano of Talent Relations for his work in quickly booking hotel rooms for everyone while they were stranded." The airline didn't do this? That, while being a small detail, is massively suspicious to me. Airlines have various issues all the time that cause cancellations. They'll also have the name of every hotel for miles (I've ended up thirteen miles away when this has happened to me), and they would normally arrange (and pay for) this as part of the compensation for the delay and cancellation. No way should Mark Carrano be doing this, if it's just a mechanical issue. It was a charter airline, not United or some big time company like that. Not to mention it's a large group of people who probably want/need to be together.

The thing that stands out about this story, and the official company narrative surrounding it, is that typically when these things are "cleared up" (so to speak) we usually get a quick follow up from various inside and outside sources repeating the same explanation. Except, in this case we've only had a couple of people supporting the plane malfunction story, and even then it's more of a "what I saw" explanation rather than any official sources corroborating it. Also the fact they've doubled down on the "everything fine between us an Saudi Arabia" deal, seems to point to the fact there were definitely problems between the parties recently. WWE typically goes hard on a the aggressive when they get called out on their bad faith actions. I think the reason for the lack of follow up is that it's not really that important of a news story. The Airline apologized there's a story on wwe's end, and unless there's some smoking gun that's really all you're going to get.
