OK, I'm aware that this is going to be polarising, because sequences like this often are, I've always been cool with flashier stuff in wrestling but I can totally understand if this isn't someone's cup of tea. I don't think that it's anything worthy of getting upset over, it's just a different style of wrestling and that's totally cool. Also, I think that, even if this kind of style makes your blood boil in the same way of Rip Rogers or any 1980s era territory rassler', I think that you have to respect the athleticism and the conditioning of Oliver and Christian. I know that I'd get blown up within 5 seconds of trying to do that. lol Oh, and before people complain "This has no story, it's just a bunch a' flippy moves that wouldn't get over in the 1980s Jim Crockett Promotions!" I think former SHIMMER Champion Nicole Matthews has a counter-argument in that they are telling a story, a simple story of two athletic dudes trying to out-do each-other. twitter.com/nmatthewsninja/status/1210967187722080262Personally, I don't mind this style of wrestling, I think when people like Ospreay and Ricochet do it, it can look f***ing amazing and fantastic, but then, if you do it badly, then nobody ends up benefitting. Like, I don't think this style of wrestling should be wiped off the face of the earth, but I also couldn't sit through an entire show if every match had this type of sequence and I can understand why people don't like it.

I didn’t liked it but it’s not the worst thing I’ve ever seen.

neither of these guys have any ring presence. Didn't even remotely look like they were competing against each other.

I have no problem with this style of sequence. Do literally whatever you want in that ring if you’re a wrestler, if the crowd don’t like it then I’m sure they’ll let you know.
I’m fed up of all these old boomer farts trying to limit creativity because they don’t understand something new.
Not actually a fan of this actual sequence in the video though but I will still defend it because wresting has no limits and anyone who says otherwise just doesn’t get what wrestling is imho.

My only complaint is that they didn't look like they were trying to compete of a win and those strike attempts...woof. It's not entirely my bag, but whatever, it's not the end of the world.

Exactly, I've got no problem with this style of sequence, even if I think that it can be overdone, but it's their style and who am I (or who is anyone else) to tell them that their style of wrestling isn't valid?. That'd be like saying if Salvador Dhali's art-work wasn't art because of how out there it was.

I wonder how Jim Cornette will react to this video.

I wonder how Jim Cornette will react to this video. Funny enough, he added fuel to the fire and helped spread the video. While I'm not a huge fan of the 45 seconds, the match was good and both guys are insanely talented with HUGE upside.

My thing with that particular sequence in the video is that it was so blatantly rehearsed and choreographed that it in no way looked like they were against each other and trying to attack or outdo each other. Looked more like they were on the same team and it was almost like a dance routine and they were helping each other remember the next steps. There was no story of one upmanship there at all (I love Nicole Matthews but that's a reach lol.)
That said, I don't think this kind of style is "killing the business" and as someone previously said, the right kinda guys like Ricochet, Ospreay, Lucha Bros etc can even make it look amazing and legit, so it's good to see it sometimes.

Definitely not my cup of tea as it didn't look like they were competing with each other as mentioned, but not going crazy over it either.

It wouldn’t be so bad if it was smoother and not so obviously choreographed. It’s like they practiced it slower and then got out there and tried to do it at 900 mph and it just looks kind of fake.
At the end of the day I don’t really care though. Do you Indy guys.

It looks like they’re dancing.
It doesn’t make my blood boil, but I can’t take it seriously

It's not what they're doing per se, it's how badly they're doing it. Do that and make it actually look spontaneous and I'll respect it. But not with that kind of execution.

In the year of our Lord 2019, this is one of the LAST things that'll kill the business. It's a little silly but so are a lot of things in wrestling.

Also stuff like this isn't even that new.
The Low Ki and Amazing Red matrix sequence was the same sort of thing and that happened in like 2002 which is nearly 2 decades ago and the wrestling business seems fine.....

There's nothing wrong with this style, but I think this video is like a textbook on how *not* to do it. It just looks super awkward and bad.
In flimsy analogy terms, if fast paced wrestling were trap music this would be Lil Xan.

Yea gotta agree with others this did not look like they were trying to have a match but doing a chroeographed routine.
love the style but this was a terrible version of it.

I mean, I've never wrestled a day in my life, she has, therefore if she says that there's a story of one upmanship, there must be one, she's the actual wrestler, we're not.
