Carrying on from Madison's point, I don't think there's such a thing as a bad character, just poor use of one. I mean everyone here knows how much I hate Kitty Prude but even on that front I'll concede she could be a good character if she wasn't being used by every middle aged comic writer as their super perfect waifu. Superboy-Prime was fine until writers kept putting him in everything and doubling down more and more on his obnoxious straw fan aspects. Wallace West is a perfectly fine character I actually like now that he's not a replacement for Wally. Hell someone as ridiculous as Turner D. Century could be great in the right hands.

For the upcoming Joker War storyline in the comics, Joker once again knows the Identity, in fact, he knows all their identities. I actually love the idea that Joker has blatantly known for years and just doesn’t care. He gets no enjoyment out of blowing up Bruce Wayne while he’s driving to the office, he likes f***ing with Batman

It's what happens when he seems to have every power ... has no real direction as a character... no one really knew what his deal was and they decided they'd figure it out later... only by the time they did it was too late and it also didn't really make any sense. they could have done something with him but there needed to be a clearly defined who he is, what he can do, and WHY. DeMatteis had a plan for him but left halfway through, leaving DeFalco - who didn't care for the character at all - to wrap things up. Next up: Keith Giffen's Supreme > Alan Moore's Supreme I like Giffen's Supreme but love Moore's. That 12 issue Squadron Supreme mini series>Watchmen.

I just feel Giffen "got" Supreme better than Moore. Alan's Supreme is fine work, great stuff. But it's not Supreme, it's just Superman. Even if Giffen never had the opportunity to get an actual run on the character beyond minis and using him in other books Keith was writing, *that* character was becoming something extremely (no pun intended) interesting. And agree on the Squadron/Watchmen thing for the greater part. I think Moore's dialogue flowed better, but otherwise, it's Gru all the way on that one.

Moore's Dialogue and Gibbons art are the only things in Watchmen better than the SS mini. I love that SS mini but the art isn't good.

Supreme, before the Moore run,is worth reading. Sure it got lambasted by the comic press. But I got a feeling lots of them never read it. I got almost all the pre-Moore run out of cheap bins and read it. For the era it is decently written stuff.
Part of that might also be I have never been a fan of Superman.

As much as I love the book I defy anyone to name a group of characters who have less chance of showing up in the MCU than Squadron Supreme lol.

Let none say that the BlackoutCreature would ever turn tail and run from an obscure character challenge! I'm gonna go with Spitfire and the Troubleshooters.

It's a long shot but I think Marvel's Transformers comics might have enough of a cult following that Josie Beller might manage a cameo somewhere.

Agree with the love for Mark Gruenwald's Squadron Supreme mini.
Marvel Comics never should have brought back Sentry after the original 'mini-series' concept.

I'm honestly not aware of any stories where Joker was trying to ID Bats (but I'm woefully out of step with everything since just before New 52). Whenever it's come up that I've seen, Joker shows complete disinterest in knowing, and even in one story raged at a minion for trying to unmask him, which would "ruin the fun" But that said? Any story that does go in the direction of Joker trying to ID him would be dumb. in New 52 originally there was teh Death of the Family arc... which was a bit confusing as Joker did things that only make sense if he knows Batman is Bruce Wayne... (granted that could be an issue of tie-in stories where the writers didn't know the full story.) but the big ending was a flashback when Batman visited Joker and in Arkham and unmask but Joker refused to turn and look at him... Joker saying something more or less the same.

Godzilla ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) Any of the other characters that exist in the Marvel Universe they don't actually have the rights too ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) edit: US-1

Agree with the love for Mark Gruenwald's Squadron Supreme mini. Marvel Comics never should have brought back Sentry after the original 'mini-series' concept. The big issue was that Bendis clearly had no idea what to actually do with him. I think he kept him around because he wanted a reality warper he could use to justify just doing whatever the hell he wanted. And I think he intended to use Scarlet Witch in that role but after Avengers Disassembled and House of M set out the lynch mobs he thought the better of it. That's why we get weird things after Siege like everyone mourning this fallen hero nobody had any reason to care about or forgive. Bendis had a story to re and he was going to tell it come Hell or high water.

Did Spitfire ever move over to the 616 universe? Wait Spitfire, last I saw had mutated into a creature made outta living metal. Want to say it happened in the last 4 or so issues of DP7. Speaking of New Universe and unpopular opinions. I loved almost all of the original 8 NU titles. Sure Kickers Inc was a stupid premise. But stuff like Star Brand,DP7 and Psi Force were better than most of the tripe Marvel was putting out at that time.
