They've changed the eyes to look more like Naugus' eyes
Before in the original ending they were shaped and designed like Metal Sonic's

Looking pretty good. I notice they keep Sonic quiet for now, guess they want to surprise us with his voice.
Cool to see Crush 40 taking part in this, giving that bit of connection. That does make me wonder though...how much stuff from the near 30 years since the end of SatAM, including stuff used in the Archie days of the comics (minus a certain weirdo we won't name here's stuff) will they decide to include? I'm sure Knuckles is a given, but will they include stuff past the Genesis days? Or for that matter, Amy and Metal Sonic?

Go back a few pages to my OP and watch the video I posted there, that scene includes Sonic talking 2. There's a few easter eggs like Mina Mongoose in the trailer, so chances are they'll be some more Archie treats, but this show is largely an adaptation of the third season web comic the same team have been working on for a full decade, they've always had the full season mapped out and to my knowledge they don't plan to include Amy, Metal, or touch on the post-Genesis designs and fall out. However, they have said the animated version will have it's own unique elements that make it distinct. 3. As for Knuckles {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}He appears at the end of issue two to set up the quest for the Chaos Emeralds, so there's a good chance they'll move that scene over to the first episode of the animated series, otherwise we could be waiting another few years for him to show up in this A lot of questions are answered on their live streams, all of which are archived on the Youtube channel. |

Screenrant have a feature up on the project, but it's poorly researched screenrant.com/sonic-hedgehog-satam-cartoon-third-season-sequel/First off, it's not a full third season the team are making at the moment, just the pilot, it is hoped that when it's done they can pitch it to Sega and Wildbrain and only when it's greenlit with their approval can they continue to make new episodes on their time. Secondly, Johnny Gioeli never sang the original version of the theme song, he's only done the cover! |
