So safe to say Sting and Kenny were absolute successes

That's the 3rd highest 18-49 number they've done (behind the first two shows) and the 4th highest total viewership when opposed by NXT (5th highest all time overall).

Domination. I don’t want to say too much to upset some folks here but AEW understand how to book their show to draw eyeballs and make money. I hope they don’t borrow any ideas from NXT.

That's an impressive number with NXT running on the same night. I think the last 1 million rating was unopposed.

And this is also why NXT is not moving anytime soon. That 18-49 number is higher than the lowest 3rd hour of RAW did back in November and isn't that far off from some of the weaker shows they've done this year. It's all about playing defense.

Wow, I wasn't expecting a number as high as that. It's awesome that they were able to build on last week with a regular Dynamite.

Some notes...
-Won the night on cable in men 18-49 by a large margin. They drew a .57 rating while the next closest was .40.
-In females 12-34 AEW tied for second with a .22 rating. Tied with Real Housewives, behind MTV’s The Challenge. They more than QUADRUPLED NXT’s rating in this demo.
-News ratings have dropped hard, especially with younger viewers. Cut in half since the election.
Last week clearly enticed people to watch. Next week is a true test, however. How much of this is real momentum versus how much was people seeing Sting/Kenny follow up and ditching? Quarter ratings will be quite telling.

It’s an impressive number, especially without Jon Moxley (guy who normally pulls in a lot of viewership) in any capacity (aside from the intro).

This is strictly from my personal experience, and I am not saying that it is indicative of everyone, but my girlfriend (27 years old, never watched wrestling before moving in with me) has absolutely zero interest in women’s wrestling. Usually she is working while I watch but the people who catch her attention are Orange Cassidy, MJF, Jurassic Express, and Kenny the last two weeks. The idea that women only want to watch women is beyond wrong. Which I know you’re not saying, but obviously people believe it. What should AEW focus on more: putting more women on screen or drawing more women viewers?

#2 of the night in the key demo, and it wasn't even a "special" show. Just a regular run-of-the-mill Dynamite. Hell of a performance. Is that the highest Dynamite's ever been on the rankings? Like, maybe the debut show was #1 but I can't remember if it ever got that high.
And people said Impact wouldn't help AEW... {Spoiler}{Spoiler}😉 I know this is a joke, but I do think Impact did one of its best numbers (if not THE best number) ever in the AXS era with the Kenny/Callis thing. IIRC, they broke 200k in total viewers with .08 in the key demos. I'm hoping the people who tuned in for Kenny Omega will stick around and give Impact a shot. It's a fun show.

A lot of intrigue is leading to bigger numbers for AEW and it's really cool to see. I'm happy for them, they stacked this show and were rewarded
I hope they can continue to keep this momentum into the new year especially with those Holiday Special Shows coming up. Holiday Bash will run at a later time but will run unopposed after Inside the NBA, which could help it.
Can't wait to see the breakdowns for this show.

Sting is a draw confirmed. Good to see. Hopefully they can keep featuring him and keep him feeling fresh.

But remember, Sting isn't a draw, he shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame.
