I’m about 25 minutes in and this is by far one of the better interviews about ‘inside wrestling’ that’s not shitting on it.
Their talk about steroids and getting tested is well worth the listen.

I don’t know about “not shitting on it”, apparently he got right on a “the locker room isn’t REAL men anymore because video games” tangent somewhere in there.

Which, along with Nash and Shelley's combined comedic ability, makes this just perfect satire about the generational divide in wrestling. Beyond perfect satire, by wrestling's standards. EDIT: Sorry, it's the 2nd vid. Won't imbed alone.

He’s doing a comparison of the old days vs now. He doesn’t really say anything different than things others in his era say. The ‘real men’ thing is more like ‘hard men’. He talks a bit about how the locker room was back in the day when guys would carry knives and guns in their gym bag and now you go in and guys are playing computer games.

Honestly at this point old timers complaining about the young wrestlers is more or less a given. No doubt we'll have a cantankerous Dolph Ziggler 20 years from now saying how the whippersnappers lack the same understanding of the business that his generation did.

How'd the negative amount of brain power in the room between the two of them not spawn a black hole?

Yeah this is just the way of things. I collect old NFL broadcasts. In the 1980s and 1990s, you had all the guys from the 60s and 70s calling the guys of the era a bunch of primadonnas who play a softer version of football than they played. Now all of those 80s and 90s guys are on TV doing the same. Complaining about the young has been a tradition of the old as long as there's been civilization.

So I had to clarify somehow to see what he said (because I’m not listening to a damn Joe Rogan podcast) and...yeah, this sounds pretty bad. twitter.com/bossmoz/status/1352158220706406401?s=21I’m not putting it up as a normal Twitter post for a reason, for the record.

It's frustrating because I'm sure he has some good advice for the younger guys but when you say something like that and take that approach, I can't really blame them for not listening when you're basically saying they're not men.

And your boss buying everything is one main reason locker rooms are different.

Grown man play acting as a bad ass, he's been doing wrestler court and locker room boss for an age and suddenly nobody gives a f*** about a decrepit old racist who thinks motorbikes and tigers are a personality trait. Lucky for old Mark he's on a show with the one person in the world who might be stupider than him so he'll sound like a f***ing genius.
Old, boring, irrelevant man.

In the quote posted after, he literally says "I liked when men were men". I don't really see a great defense of this that claims he meant something else, that is a phrase that very directly means one thing.

I, too, liked my wrestlers better when downed their uppers and downers with booze and ate pain killers to get through a day. Men. MANLY MEN.
Bet a lot of those guys are doing well today.

“I liked it when Men were Men”
Says the guy that wore eyeliner and hung out in front of the Cavs lockerroom with his titties out.

Toxic masculinity in wrestling will always be funny because of how unintentionally gay everybody is. Member when HHH, with literally no prompting, called Punk dummy thick? 😂😂😂
