The more people complain about JR about (what is IMO) petty stuff, the more I dig in and enjoy him more.

JR is a national treasure, can still bring it at the commentary booth and is as good of a draw at the commentary booth for any fans flipping through the channels as there possibly can be. Occasional gaffes can be and should be overlooked for him.

Occasional gaffes can be and should be overlooked for him. Unless JR is actively going "F*** this. This is stupid" then I don't think any gaff or guffaw is going to ever hurt his stature in the company. And the only time he ever really got close to that in AEW was during Kenny Omega's Sans entrance because he clearly didn't get it. I feel like he's grown into a better groove in the company as things have gone forward. And he has clearly picked his favorites. John Silver, Wardlow, Hangman and Moxley to name a few clearly bring out positive emotions from him. Ya can't tell me JR's a bitter old man all the time when he is actively screaming "JOHNNY HUNGIEE!" any time Silver does anything.

The thing is JR has never been especially good. He’s very good at conveying emotion and putting over the people that he really likes, but even in the WWF he’d shit on stuff sometimes, forget which Chris is which, and not know the names of moves(seemingly everything was a modified slam). I think that he has a place for big matches and moments, but he doesn’t need to be out there for every match either. Keep him far away from the ladies matches at the minimum. lol

The thing is JR has never been especially good. This is where I have to very respectfully disagree. Like... VERY respectfully.

My beefs have usually been some more questionable comments during matches that don't have anything to do with the matches themselves.
