Why, because the babyface won? *rimshot* Seriously, though, I didn’t notice anything like that. What was odd about it? Just the general pacing and promotion of it. Like, from what I was hearing from others for the most part, it felt more like a middle of the card feud rather than a match that would headline a night of WrestleMania, especially compared to how the triple threat and such was built. Yeah, the feud largely involved Reginald for most of it and I can't remember it ever opening or closing the show. It never came across like anything close to a main event program.

Yeah, look, has to be said, some of the discussion here is crazy and across other parts of the board. There's nothing wrong with criticizing AEW, nor is there anything wrong with people criticizing your criticism. To say otherwise is crazy and some of the people getting offended on both sides just need to calm down in general and don't act like the world's against them if someone counters their view. I need to get better at it and people in this thread and beyond need to be better. And hey, needs to be said again, I don't think how AEW's treated Dark and Elevation is trivial at all and the fact that it's having an effect on the storyline is only a good thing on how they're seen as shows compared to others in the past. But there is no harm in, say, a 5-minute segment on Dynamite or even a YouTube show that specialises in running down recent events and how they've affected the rankings for those who want a summary of the events of Dark, Elevation or even Dynamite. Heck, this alleged 2nd show on TNT could do exactly that along with having some matches of its own. For the record, though, as long as I live, I'll never understand "wrestling is the worst part of wrestling" as a term for many reasons, one off the top of my head how nobody talks about how shit the build for Austin/Rock II was but how great the match was and now nobody talks about how great the build for HHH/Orton at WrestleMania 25 was but how shit the match was. You can put all the acting and pageantry you want on something but if the final product is shite, the final product is shite. That's just me, though. I was tired of Rock and Austin by that time. The heel turn was the worst kept secret in wrestling. The heel turn made no sense to Austin’s character and all the chair shots were over kill. Your right a great match can save a bad storyline, but at the same time a bad ending can ruin a a great match, and that’s how I feel about their match at Mania 17.

For the record, I'm not as much of a fan of the finish as others but I mellowed out on it at time and it still bothers me that the biggest heel turn since Hogan was followed up with a "I don't owe you an explaination" which, like...would explain why ratings were on a downturn before the Invasion happened since, well, those fans deserve an explanation, especially the more casual fan whose likely watched since Austin became big. I guess a better example, then, would be saying the film is the worst part of a film's release and the trailers, promotional material etc is better because the final product still needs to be liked by audience and that can counteract even the best promotional interviews and trailers etc.

They talked about him being hand picked by Brodie, but also how he was finding a groove on the YouTube shows. They also mentioned how going from Dark and Elevation to Darby Allin is a step up and if 10 was ready. So say you have a young talent not doing much that you like and is winning on Dark like a Dante Martin. Using his record there to highlight him in a TNT title match against a guy like Darby who is a ratings winner? Or even Miro who has a following? Not a bad idea

Not a bad idea The TNT title is a really interesting belt in general since it technically doesn't fit in with the rankings, depending on the champion, so you can use it to showcase people like 10, JD Drake, John Silver etc especially if you have a champion like Darby who has the audience's investment.
