I pointed it out that IMO when he was first getting to NXT and all the lead up vingettes and that promo with the end song was TONEALLY perfect they nailed exactly his character.
Idk what happened since because at around if not right after the Keith Lee match his character had a dramatic alebit at the sametime subtle shift....now they are gung ho on him being a monster and emphasising one aspect but completely taking away the other and it is completely backwards.
He needs to stop being a monster and be more in line with what he was when he first showed up.....a little spoopy stuff sprinkled it with his more hitman'esc persona where he shows to the CwC and just drops random roster guys on their head and leaves them laying because he enjoys it.
Took away all the character and made it all about what he does in the ring , seriously how did Impact get it right and NXT can't baffles me.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Well…
{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} Kross and Scarlet are backstage at Smackdown. There’s been talk about moving them to the main roster sooner than later - PWInsider.
{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Good they should start teasing it tonght , have Scarlett lurking around in the background in random segments but we never see Kross and it is all we get.

Scarlett's cool, they just haven't had her do much lately. She just stands there and holds the belt.

Goes back to what I said they completely abandoned the original character and really have no idea what they want this act to be. Hell Scarlett looked completely ordinary on NXT this week so everything originally interesting about the act is being completely stripped away.

It might be one of the few acts that'll be better on the main roster. We'll see, I guess.

Sounds like he's the same as he was in Impact, except in a higher role on the card. He has a character that's fairly interesting, but he's also (in real life) convinced he's somehow inherently more perceptive and intelligent then most. It comes across like a teenager who's starting reading books on politics and so knows how to fix everything, very shallow and immature. In the ring he's...bleh. no intensity, no defined moveset, fairly directionless and wishy washy with no character work.

There's this really awful late nineties movie called Dead Man On Campus where the two main characters are looking for suicidal roommates, reason being that if a student dies, their roommates are given A's in all of their classes because of the trauma.. Yeah. To say it doesn't hold up well would be a huge understatement.
Anyway, there's a stereotypical goth rocker guy that the guys seek to recruit, until they discover that he's really a happy-go-lucky, showtunes loving ex-cheerleader.
Do that with Kross. Have him outed as a complete fraud who pays Scarlett an exorbitant amount of money to be his valet and make him look cool. Turn it into a redemption arc and face turn where Kross embraces his true "life is a cabaret" self. Gold, Jerry.

That's a guilty pleasure movie right there.

I haven't watched it in forever but I looked up some clips when I made that post and I'd be lying if I said I didn't crack up at the goofiness of it all. God bless turn of the century teen sex comedies. Rowan: Atempted vehiclular manslaughter... whatever the F*** that means!

I really, really don't like how much they've toned down the macabre elements of his character. Not only have they seemingly dropped the supernatural stuff, they've even dropped the potential armageddon-worshipping maniac stuff.
It seems pretty deliberate how much the commentary in his match has switched to discussing him being a "judo expert."
Also, him wearing a Jesus shirt during the Adam Cole confrontation a few weeks back seems wildly out of character to the point where it seems like an actual mistake that he wore it to the ring.
Seriously, what is the reasoning behind this shirt?
