Now going around the budget may have been 400 million.

Watched it tonight and quite enjoyed it. Defo a patch above Temple & Skull as others have said
I didn’t pay much attention to budget or anything ahead of time but reading up on it when looking up info after watching it and goddam where did all that money do go because it sure wasn’t the CGI
My biggest problem with the film was honestly the CGI. It’s the same problem a lot of blockbusters have these days……How can the CGI look so rubbish

It’s certainly not gonna be the first Indy movie you grab from the shelf on a rainy day, but it was a relatively enjoyable, inoffensive flick

I didn’t pay much attention to budget or anything ahead of time but reading up on it when looking up info after watching it and goddam where did all that money do go because it sure wasn’t the CGI The three major things, in increasing order of impact - a multi-month pause when Ford suffered an arm injury, COVID protocols, and rolling in all the developmental costs of the previous failed scripts/pre-production efforts. Last one is the real biggie. Same thing that ballooned the budget for, say, Mad Max Fury Road and The Flash, just for two examples. Hollywood Accounting. As for the CGI, given even the MCU is having some dodgier moments in recent films, I have suspicions that both COVID conditions and burn-out from the huge hours and feeling underpaid for it is having an industry-wise effect in the usual polish being spotty.
