Man, I’m not even the biggest Hangman fan but it makes sense at “All Out”. C’mon Tony buddy, don’t let us down.

The other options are stupid nonsense based on nothing.

Ive seen people think AEW wants Hangman winning the title being THE moment at All Out, but then again if we are comparing to DB at WM 30, what was more memorable DB winning or Taker streak being over? Bryan. 100%. It was THE story leading into the event and the crowd went nuts for it. Taker's loss was just unexpected and deflating to many at the time, albeit with a sense of "Wait, now what?"

They might do last min changes like when Christian was supposed to win at DON but Khan changed his mind and went with JB. When and by whom was this revealed?

It did take the crowd out of the main event right up until when Triple H tried to interfere and Bryan fought him off.

I was thinking OC as one of the options but I think he will face Miro for the TNT title, Eddie is the only one doing nothing atm.

My biggest concern with them holding off on pulling the trigger on "Hangman" Adam Page is that he's on the cusp of becoming a massive player for them that will carry the company for years to come, but if you wait too long to pull that trigger... It may end with diminishing returns long run.
I know a lot of people want and expect CM Punk to be thrust into the main event picture and challenge for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship, but I'd think even Punk himself... Who had spots stolen from him by part-timers, or returning at the right-timers that he wouldn't want that.
With that said, even though Page probably doesn't have the time to make up the spots he lost in the rankings, I still think it's going to be Kenny Omega vs. "Hangman" Adam Page at "All Out" and that Christian Cage is going to challenge Omega at the first edition of "Rampage" with Punk and and Darby Allin facing off at "All Out". There's routes they can go to get Page back in the title picture, maybe he run a one-night gauntlet by facing all the members of the Super Elite... Or maybe he could offer to put his career on the line, or be forced to join the Super Elite if he loses to Omega.
There's directions they can with this that lead to Page challenging Omega.

I see four possible scenarios in order of likelihood IMO:
- Hangman "earns back" the All Out shot by winning a #1 multi-man contender's thing against the other top ranked guys: JB, Christian, Darby and OC
- Darby's Best in the World reference isn't as much of a direct Punk tease as we think and Allin gets the shot instead, leading to Punk not wrestling but appearing at the PPV during/after the match
- Christian gets the shot
- Cassidy gets the shot

I swear to Jeebus if they waste over 2 years of build to give the shot to f***ing Christian I will eat all of your hats in anger.

You know what? That might work. It could similar to the Flip Gordon angle they did at All In. You don’t need to hide him in a mask or anything. But you can have a situation where you build up mystery of who will challenge Kenny. Kenny says he’s beaten every one and a certain someone ain’t getting the title shot. Then they announce the battle royal. Hangman comes out as the Joker, mega pop, cleans house, maybe it’s him and Christian. Christian is being a real dick the whole time, maybe even have The Young Bucks try and prevent Hangman from eliminating Christian. It’s real tense, but then Page prevails, and Omega can finally no longer avoid him. It’s the main event and Page wins. Now I’m not sure how well that would go over, especially on here. Just a thought though.

They could pull a WMX have Omega defend against Christian earlier in the night with Page getting to face the winner but he has a match earlier too, make it a mix of WMX and XXX where Page's earlier match is a must win to get into the main event (handicap against the GB?).

Someone suggested a Casino Battle Royal at All Out where the winner gets a same-night title shot, and I think that would be a way for Hangman to get two big moments. There's a big problem with this Casino Battle Royal theory. There already is a Women's Casino Battle Royal announced for All Out. Now, it is possible they could quietly rescind that match and replace it with another men's match and deal with the backlash of pulling a big women's opportunity, which is nothing new for AEW at this point. But you also need to consider that they just had a men's battle royal at the last PPV, and if you are going to run a match that has never been a home run concept so often, you might as well use a completely different field of entrants, like the women's division. Or they could run two of them like the Royal Rumble does now, but even then, does anyone really want two of these things on the same night, when there's some variation of the concept on nearly every PPV?

How about a Ladder Match for an opportunity then? You could really sell the winner having gone through war to get to Omega if they did it. They did to a Title Shot Ladder Match earlier in the year but it was for the TNT Title... you could realistically go it and get plenty of wrestlers on the main card. I'd say it'd be a feasible option and probably more fun than two Battle Royal's.

Here is my next bit of fantasy booking/coping thoughts.
It seems pretty strange that we would get leaks into what AEW’s plans are. Normally we would never hear Dave Meltzer say that “Hangman is out of the title match.” Or “Hangman won’t be at the PPV at all.” I don’t know the exact management structure of AEW, but it seems that the m people who would have connections to Meltzer would be Tony Khan and the EVPs, specially Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks. The men that’s feuding with Hangman. It would be in their dickish character to say in public that Hangman wouldn’t be at the PPV, to put even more heat on them. Basically this all part of the storyline.
Or I’m nuts and I’m trying to cope really hard in my anxiety riddled brain. I need a nap.

I split the difference by holding the opinion that working the sheets is dumb and they shouldn't be doing it, so while there are two different things I could be mad at AEW for, I'm mad at them regardless.

So, I guess Hangman is legitimately off All Out due to personal reasons?
That leaves Jungle Boy, Christian Cage, Darby Allin and Orange Cassidy as potential immediate challengers in the Top 5. Maybe he get a 4-Way to determine Kenny's opponent? I can see any of them except JB getting the nod.
