They killed GTA modding so that they could release this shit.

It's almost impressive how half-assed this thing is.
Actually, half-assed gives them way too much credit for the effort involved. Quarter-assed is more like it. Congrats, Blizzard. Warcraft 3 Reforged is no longer the worst remaster of a critically acclaimed older game.

I feel like a quarter might be too generous given they apparently couldn't even be bothered to check to make sure the background signs were coherent.

I was ao looking forward to this, now I'm terrified of what the physical release will be like.

Man, I'm struggling to get through III. It was fun at first, but now it's starting to drag. Had a couple of bugged missions, too.

- A series of updates to fix technical issues are in the works.
- The original games will be available as a bundle via the Rockstar Store, and will be free to anybody who bought the Definitive Edition.

Looks like they literally just released one of those "Mario 64 on Unreal 4" style tech demos on youtube except you get to play it to see how broken it is.

I'm glad I could try it out on Gamepass, if I'd spent money on it, yeesh.

I'm glad I could try it out on Gamepass, if I'd spent money on it, yeesh. And San Andreas is apparently the least f***ed up of the trilogy. The rain is f***ing unbearable, but other then that it’s a solid port. III and Vice City I’ve heard are brutal, but I haven’t touched them yet.

I thought I had read somewhere they fixed the rain issues. I could be wrong.

Driving in III can be summed up as "trying not to hit anybody, get tapped, go skidding all over, and the car getting destroyed after 3 hits."

The announcement of the definitive edition inspired me to play Vice City using my backwards compatible hardware from my PS3. As much as I appreciate the plot and the selection of 80s soundtrack, I had a difficult time adjusting to the targeting indicator when it comes to firing weapons in the game. I'm disappointed the remasters didn't do enough to improve the dated mechanics of the original 3D games. The only good things I've seen from watching various playthroughs is the simplicity of switching weapons using the wheel menu from GTA V and to some extent, the rendered visuals. Texture models for the characters (including the NPC) should've been better. Oh well.
