I've seen this going around and I figure it deserves its own thread.
I definitely think Impact would be the place to go if he wants to do some out there or cinematic type stuff, I feel like they'd give him the most blank canvas to do whatever he wants. I'd still be surprised if he doesn't show up in AEW in some capacity eventually though.

Man, that's a whole lotta words to basically say... nothing.
"He might be going there, maybe not, maybe he is! Maybe he's going over there! Who knows? I guess we'll have to wait and see."

I think the smart play for Bray would be to do Impact for at least a year, get the chance to do some of his ideas in a low-risk scenario, and then negotiate with AEW around 2023. The latter's picked up a ton of talent recently and as big as him showing up would be now, he would still be competing with a lot of recent major hires.
If he waits a while, he could effectively have a big spotlight to himself long after the buzz of Punk/Bryan/Cole/Black has worn off.

Bray Waytt & The Fiend are WWE IPs correct? So it would be Windham Rotunda in a new gimmick right, likely a similar one, but different then Bray.

However, while certain names and likenesses might be WWE's IP (not always: see AJ Styles), character concepts are not specifically owned by any specific company and any attempt by WWE to block Windham Rotunda from debuting a Southern, Cape Fear-esque cult leader with a fedora and tropical shirt by, say, Wray Bryant will likely fail in court.

That's wrestling "journalism" as a whole. Keep it vague so you're never wrong, and if you DO get caught being wrong, just say "Plans changed" and pretend you were right anyway.

I think he'll do fine wherever he ends up....
but if he goes to AEW now, he'll very likely get overshadowed by everyone they just got: CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Adam Cole, Malakai Black

AEW is a way worse fit for him for the same reason Broken Matt doesn't really play out as well in AEW. Impact has so much spooky stuff already going on, so he'll fit in a lot more seamlessly to that universe, and they'll have a way easier time finding room for him to do lots of character stuff. I'm excited as hell to see what he comes up with, though; it's always felt he had brilliant ideas and an understanding of what he was doing that nerver meshed with WWE's presentation or how they did it. The Firefly Funhouse was absolutely great and lined up with a lot of what independent horror creators are doing nowadays on Youtube, to the point even my non-wrestling friends who I know from years back in Marble Hornets fandom found it to be an absolute blast. There's an outside chance he pulls an Aron Rex, but frankly the fact he's been so on the nose and incisive about these tropes when he has his control gives me faith. I hope he can thrive, dude has mad potential.

He should do what The Good Brothers did: Reinvent himself.in Impact and then once the WWE stink is completely washed off start appearing in AEW too.
And in addition to the creative stuff, AEW has had so many high profile debuts lately it might feel like one too many right now.

Bray's a big enough name too that he'd be probably the de facto top guy in Impact while he'd be fighting for screentime on AEW; best case scenario I could see is him growing Impact's misfit toy alternative vibe and embracing being the one that does the weird experimental shit like the Firefly Funhouse match or the Funhouse in general. IDK if the landscape in wrestling is there for a big third pillar company, but I think "Impact + Bray's experimental spooky shit" could put them in contention for the spot.

So we're doing this again... We're not doing anything again. I agreed with another poster, and expanded on what he said with my own observation. Maybe, just maybe, the problem isn't the people who hold an opinion, the problem is actually with people who take a non-argumentative comment and try to make it an issue. There was absolutely no problems until you and others tried to make one. I haven't said or done anything to anyone besides a person who expressed a similar opinion to mine, and if I misinterpreted their meaning, I'm sure they can let me know without your or anyone else's help. I'm not bothering you, so why can't you just leave me alone?

Jeez, all this bickering makes me glad I quit modding. It's so silly. Well, that and the pm's talking down to me. Wonder how long before someone steps in?

I also think there is a very small chance he may just end up back in WWE just using the Bray Wyatt gimmick and saving The Fiend for once in a while , like Finn with the Demon.

I know we don't see eye-to-eye and have had a couple spats, but PMing someone to continue or start an argument is totally out of line. I sincerely hope that it was none of our disagreements that led to that kind of behavior. Disagreeing is fine, but that makes it personal, and that isn't ok. I'm genuinely sorry you have dealt with that.
