They should also discuss the Yakuzas involvement in Japanese wrestling, which is the worst kept secret and have Rikidozan be the focal point of the episode. Maybe even have a parallel story about his murderer. A lot of puroesau wrestlers have some affiliation or backing from the Yakuza. A good example is Honma. Hes loosely affiliated with the Yakuza. Its why NJPW hasn't offered him a contract and made him a job guy in the 2015's. Also a story about Misawa and Plum Mariko and have those be cautionary tales of the dangers of taking sick bumps on the neck. While it'd be fascinating, wouldn't most of the wrestlers just be like "What's a yakuza? Never heard of them."

TNA not wanting to pay for Daffney's medical bills, putting her in there with dangerous wrestlers, etc. Could do a pretty decent episode on the entire Dixie Carter era of TNA. Might be one of the good "relief" episodes around the darker ones.

That one would have to be researched and get the info from Inoki and third party sources. Trying to attack him would be brazen since he's a politician.

Black Saturday will be a great topic to cover, especially the backlash it got. It was the 1980s and you only received complaints through letters or phone calls. I heard TBS got thousands of calls that weekend.

The death of WCW told by someone other than WWE could be an amazing story to tell. I’d love to know how guys like arn Anderson, Jimmie hart, sting, Scott Steiner, all the luchadors, cruiserweights, etc. all really felt about WCW closing. On any WWE documentary they always make it seem like everyone was happy go lucky that it went out of business when, from a fan perspective, i was devastated by the closure. It really killed my love for the business for a long time.

Dennis Rodman's involvement in wrestling. Would be a decent "light" episode in the vein of the Brawl For All, plus you could get interviews from DDP, Sting, Karl Malone, and maybe even some Bulls players (I doubt they get Jordan, but maybe someone like Scottie Pippen or Phil Jackson) talking about how he skipped practice unnanounced to appear on Nitro.

Don't know how much interest it would generate, but the UK wrestling scene when it was one of the most watched shows in the UK and controlled by Big Daddy's family

They should probably be wrapping this up at 4.
I think Chyna is the main one missing, and you could probably do an episode on WWE/Saudi with that scary situation a few years ago, especially now that a decent portion of the roster stuck over there is no longer employed by WWE so they can speak freely. The whole Yakuza/Rikidozan thing could be interesting, though they'd have to really reach to get some names for that one at this point. Sunny would be a wealth of insanity. Brian Christopher's life as Lawler's son, his run in USWA pre-WWF, and his deep-rooted troubles is worth looking at for sure - they'd need Jerry for it, though. WCW's demise and how negatively that affected WWF and wrestling as a whole could be a good one. There are a number of topics that may work best as a compilation episode, such as the final matches of iconic wrestlers and what the wrestling business does to people physically, a gone-too-soon episode about suicides that may not work as long-form focused episodes, etc.
Maybe as the last hurrah they could end the series on a more positive note, focusing on guys who were troubled (X-Pac, Sting, etc.) and how they pulled themselves out of their rut and how they're doing today.

Would his story be enough for one hour though? There's his work at ECW, ROH, then It happens, then....people still book him/RF Video is still in business/etc. Maybe as part of an episode of similar incidents, though. And could they pay Flock of Seagulls so they could recreate/reshow Bix's (DVDVR) video of Rob doing the Dateline NBC run from the cops to "And I Ran"?

An hour devoted to accidental serious injuries, even death, in the ring?
I have a feeling DSOTR will eventually turn to compilation stories actually.

The ringboy scandal is just screaming for one, but I wonder who's left and willing to speak about since Tom Cole's suicide earlier this year.
Spicolli, Buzz Sawyer, Art Barr, Tammy Sytch and Billy Jack would all be fascinating. Matt Borne, too. And the Arn-Sid scissors fight.

And could they pay Flock of Seagulls so they could recreate/reshow Bix's (DVDVR) video of Rob doing the Dateline NBC run from the cops to "And I Ran"? Rob Feinstein is a super disturbing case as it relates to wrestling as a whole. It’s like here’s a guy who got caught doing one of the worst crimes imaginable, may have similar skeletons in his closet that haven’t been discovered, and nearly everyone condemns as a scumbag. YET arguably even more people work with him by choice. That includes folks from the younger, more evolved generation of wrestlers who would rather just play video games and go to the gym than get hooked on drugs and commit sex crimes. In a way it’s a perfect story for Dark Side of the Ring. It shows for how far wrestling has come in some ways, it can still have a very seedy underbelly. But for that same reason it’s a tough episode to pull off. How many wrestlers really want to say, “Yeah Rob’s a scumbag and I’m happy to get paid by him.”
