Damn, guess that line on Cody's reality show about him being hungover wasn't scripted after all I wish him well on the road to recovery, and also a shout out to Renee, this couldn't have been easy from her side of things either. It makes me all the more happy he's getting help. For his wife. For his child. For himself.

All of my dad's paternal uncles died from drinking. My aunt (my mom's sister) and at least two of my cousins barely survived. My ex father-in-law stopped drinking after 45 years cold turkey. The withdrawals almost killed him.
So I speak from experience: this is an amazing step. I have all the faith in the world in him.
And let me end this post on a happy note. My grandfather, like his brothers, was a full blown alcoholic. One day in 1964, my grandmother laid down the law: either the booze, or her. Pick one. He stopped drinking for good that day. The man chose love over liquor.

Interesting timing with his book coming out. He gets help and it sells a few more copies because of the attention. Win-win... Sure...cause he needs the money that bad......

Massive, massive respect to Mox for seeing he has an issue and getting it sorted at the first instance. He’ll come out of this stronger and healthier for it not only for himself but more importantly for Renee and their daughter too
When you see how many wrestlers had their lives wrecked by alcohol dependency, Scott Hall, Jake Roberts and Ric Flair to name 3, it’s great that we have guys like Mox and Eddie Kingston being so open and honest about their personal issues

If anything, people should be giving the dude props for taking the time to recognize and do this literally the day his book comes out and as he was picking up steam again professionally.

Logic would dictate “Use the rankings for the next man up”, so let’s see… Hangman is already #1 Contender, Cassidy is in the tourney already, Mox is out… ah HA… OH DAMN, IT’S F***IN’ MIRO. Miro WOULD be a really good in house choice since he's doing nothing right now And also he might want revenge on Cassidy still. Plus he's been talking about being a champion again Plus he's a heel, assuming Page wins This would all line up pretty perfectly for him to come in and win the thing. Horrible, horrible circumstances though, all the best to Mox that he can overcome this.

Instead of continually quoting the idiot - can we just delete his comment and move on?
Edit - mods please delete this.

Wow, good on him/Renee to get him the help he needs now while the baby is still young, similar to someone like HBK who successfully straightened himself out after becoming a dad.

It takes a lot to not only recognize that you have a problem and take initiative to address it but to go public with it when no one was really even suspecting anything. Wishing him all the best.

Nothing but love, respect and well wishes for the man. He carried AEW on his back during unprecedented times and saw us through to the other side. Now, he's make ng the absolute best choice for himself and his family. Nothing but mad respect for the man, John Good.

If anything, people should be giving the dude props for taking the time to recognize and do this literally the day his book comes out and as he was picking up steam again professionally. It really takes courage to recognize that he needed help especially as he was slated to have a big match with Bryan Danielson at Full Gear and likely having a title match in the near future. In the words of Hangman Page, that's real cowboy shit there.

He's about a year younger than me and it's around that time I started realizing that if I got wasted on a Friday night I may as well cancel any other plans I had for that weekend.
Good on him for getting some help.

I can't even imagine how difficult it must have been for Mox to take this step, especially at this point of his life/career, and huge respect to him for doing what he needs to. I'm glad AEW has his back and when he's ready to step in the ring again, I pity his first opponent!

Between Mox, and mental health issues with bunny and blade, as an older fan it makes me happy to see that this generation has learned a lot from the previous one and are not afraid to get the help they need instead of going to the demons of generations past

Gotta say, I’m listening to his interview with Jericho that dropped today, and he sounds way more clear headed then in the Meltzer interview he taped a few days later. He just sounded off that Meltzer interview, it was really interesting but it was weird at times. Mox kept apologizing about nobody wanting to hear the day to day minutia of his life but f*** that wrestlers have day lives too and that’s what he wants to talk about.
And a running theme across all of his interviews, be it on TV or in real life is how he hasn’t been sleeping since his daughter was born and quite often someone who walks a fine line with booze immediately reaches to the bottle when they can’t sleep.
Seriously, best of luck to the dude
