Nobody who has parted ways with WWE in recent years has proved to be a huge loss I actually agree with this part, though in many ways that's the big problem in of itself. WWE's settled into a format where no individual talents are going to break out as bigger stars than the brand itself, making all of them interchangeable and expendable. Is that a good thing? From Vince's perspective, maybe; he doesn't have to deal with egos and prima donnas anymore, and their business model is still brining in cash despite viewership atrophying downward. From a fan's perspective? I'd argue no, it's made for a duller, more homogenous product.

But on the flip side, no individual talent has broken out as bigger starts elsewhere, where Vince is out of the picture. I mean relatively, some of them certainly upped their game. Moxley comes across as a bigger deal than Dean Ambrose ever did, Broken Matt Hardy on Impact was more popular than anything Matt had done in his WWE runs in years. But we're talking about niches within an already niche fandom. None of these promotions, AEW included, are playing to anyone but the diehards like us already hooked on pro wrestling, the scope for elevating talent into noteworthy stars isn't there. WWE's the only promotion standing with the brand recognition in place to even attempt to get anybody to that level, and they gave up trying years ago. I guess the only avenue left is breaking out in Hollywood first, like Hulk did with Rocky III.

Keith Lee was looked down on for political reasons.
Rock wasn't that great of a worker, if you're only counting moves and such. Actually...he'd fit in the 80s too as him and Hogan are not unlike there.
I'm still not ready to take sides about the stories that came out about the women's scene in the 80s and back. There's people who are not on Moolah's side of course, but people who are too. And both seem to have their points.
Reading the comments about Gable and Riddle...if a person who had a strike against him has since made an effort to never do it again or to improve themselves, and/or paid their debt to society, give them the benefit of the doubt. Yes there's some lines that can't be taken back once they're crossed, though.
I can also live with people with extreme political views, as long as their on camera characters don't involve it. I'll just disagree with what I want to. But...if they are harassing people in or outside of wrestling...
On the topic, anyone who expects ANYONE in wrestling (AN. E. ONE.) to be a perfect, model human being needs to change interests NOW. Never happening. Lower your bar before joining us.

He's also a racist asshole so like... forgive me and others if we don't care or agree. And I didn't say that he was a credit to humanity. So here's another of mine... I LIKE his podcast. BUT AS LONG AS HE'S TALKING ABOUT WRESTLING HISTORY. Hit one of the berzerk buttons? Forget it. (even though there, I do like him going off on Russo)

Wrestlers, especially heels, in suits are as tired as the heel authority figure. Come up with your own trademark outfit, you lazy bums.
I’m far from a Triple H fan but that denim warsuit he rocked in the early 00s was a LOOK. More guys should go for things like that instead of a t-shirt or a suit.

He doesn’t look like he’s going to a wedding…or at least it’s a really fun wedding. Regular suits only work when they’re unexpected. Stone Cold teasing being a corporate Champ, Mankind or Captain Lou in a tux, stuff like that. Like, Otis could wear a suit but Lashley is just boring in one.

This. Also, the WCW vs Dangerous Alliance wouldn't have worked without him at the forefront.

Wrestlers need to go back to calling it in the ring. Psychology today rarely exists. Going public was the biggest detriment to wwe.

For all the CRAP DDP took from Undertaker, complaining about everything being planned out. This generation could use a bunch of workers who are masters of their craft like DDP was.

Apologies if there’s repeats.
The champion comes out last. You build the anticipation of seeing the champ, of knowing that this could be the last time they walk down that aisle with the belt. Having them go first feels odd, like more importance is on the challenger.
Young Bucks - their style hasn’t gelled with me since like 2017. It’s fine. They aren’t going to appeal to everyone.
I remember when titantrons were more than a logo and the name of a wrestler! They were little movies! People loved them!
Jim Johnston is the greatest musical talent not just in wrestling but of all time. Multiple genres, multiple decades, incredible.
I liked the Vaudevillians and they deserved better

It's one of those thoughts that holds the key to a whole other world

I'm glad Undertaker's streak ended. The idea that he would never lose it is like saying you think someone should retire as champion. (Whether you think it was right that Brock broke it is another matter).
In my eyes, you can't complain that WWE puts too much stock in part-timers whilst simultaneously arguing that Undertaker should never lose at the one show a year he wrestles. It's hypocritical.

I hate to ressurect this thread, but I just needed a few grievances I needed to release from my mind:
First, in regards to NXT & The man with Three H's, I have mixed feelings on it. On one hand, it's sad to see how NXT got turned into NXT 2.0 to the point where it won WC's 2021 Gooker Award. The thought of seeing a creation you poured all your hard work into to get turned into an almost hilariously bad parody of itself can be frustrating (especially with Johnny Ace back in the fold) to see, all because Vinny Mac threw a hissy fit over AEW winning a "ratings war", to the point where the stress caused Hunter to nave a health scare that forced him into an early retirement. It's honestly sad and tragic to see and more reasons to hate Vinny Mac, among the other bad thing he's done.
On the other hand, I felt that as much as I get NXT's golden age getting lotsa praise, I feel it felt hollow considering how a majority of them were either not utilized well on the main roster or just plain wasted. Granted, this is because the main roster's presentation has declined HARD and the company's effort at putting anything good feels like they're trying to be as lazy as Orange Cassidy's character, but instead of being endearing like Cassidy, it feels frustrating. Furthermore, personally, I feel that the amount of praise Hunter had running NXT, while deserved, felt like some people were downplaying the bad parts of his career, including the Awfulness that was The Authority (the angle which I feel is the reason why WWE is in the sad state that it in today) when it was still going on (remember when fans cheered for both him & Steph over Roman during their short but awful feud? That actually caused me to lose all sympathy for WWE fans plagued by bad booking.). Plus, I felt Dusty kinda was overlooked during his time running NXT.
Another thing that grinds my gears is when fans take a look at one wrestler's gimmick that seems harmless and throw hissy fits over it, saying they hate the wrestler because of the gimmick and downplay/ignore other stuff like their in-ring or promo skills. I hate to sound rude, but I cannot take fans seriously when they do this stuff. Like for example, a certain somebody here who dislikes Kairi Hojo (one of my all time faves) just for her pirate girl gimmick and ignored everything else she does. I can understand if it's say, Damien Sandow (a below-mediocre wrestler who lost his fans in Impact with that horrible Liberace-wannabe gimmick, especially in comparison to what he did in WWE), but if it's someone really good like Kairi, it just feels like the fan is being a jerk. I'm sorry, but I don't like anyone who says that stuff.
Finally...I feel that Trish Stratus was a tad overrated. I just feel other wrestlers in WWE's women's division around that time, while praised, got somewhat pushed aside for her.
That is all.
