So, while this isn't the Rescue Rangers revival I really wanted, I will admit it was a fun little 90 minute and change movie. That said, I really wonder what made Disney decided that this was the project to start licensing appearances from all those non-Disney characters for? I would have loved to be in the room hearing this get pitched. I mean it's not OUT THERE out there, but still goofy, meta, and dark enough that I found myself asking "How did this get made?" |

I’m shocked they ok’d the Pan angle honestly. I know people are pissy about it but at the same time it’s kind of opened up how Bobby Driscolli got treated when Hughes bought RKO and canned Driscolli from his contract because he hated child actors. They think it’s tasteless but at the same time it’s shined a light on how shitty the whole thing was and now everyone knows it. |

Questions I was thinking about... 1) What other movies had lousy looking trailers but ended up being good to great? 2) The whole Pluto thing...rumors? Or was that a legit earlier draft? Two old ones that come to mind are Zoolander and Rat Race. Based on the previews alone I had no interest in seeing them. However, friends got me to watch them and I'm glad I did. |

I’m conflicted, the gag of Ugly Sonic works as a weird “redemption arc” for the character and I think the “statement” of Paramount being fine with it made the film’s story more than Jar Jar would. On the other hand, an FBI show with Jar Jar Binks sounds like television we’re gravely missed out on. Also read that they got Armond Banks on board which, hey, props to the guy. He deserves some kind of solid spot after what the fan base did to him. |

Jar Jar would feel like Disney wussing out and using only characters they owned, as we feared when we first saw the trailer. It would be more like Space Jam 2 if it was just Disney characters. Plus it creates the scenario where Sonic gets to defeat a big bad voiced by Jim Cummings again ;-) Now, can we confirm/deny that there WERE plans to make Pluto said big bad? My friend says apparently they did, only it tested poorly so they changed it to Sweet Pete (fmy. Mean Dean) being the total mastermind and becoming Composite Fat Cat. Over on the original series... ...appropriately enough, Flash the Wonder Dog was the next episode in our TDA binge watch, after seeing the movie. What I took from that episode.... 1) Whatever city CDRR takes place in, they are dumber than WCW announcers in 1997, as they are fooled by obviously fake Flashes. 1b) Do we know what city it took place in? 2) This is the first episode where Gadget never says Golly. And most/worst of all... 3) They did a gag where a kid on a Mr. Wizard clone is disappointed...BECAUSE HE CAN'T MAKE HOMEMADE EXPLOSIVES. |

You'd probably have to have lived in the 70s/studied up on SatAM TV of the 70s to get the joke, but...
Lassie should have had a cameo.

I just saw the Elephant Never Forgets episode of the original series, and was tickled that it features a skunk character who looks like a Bootlegged version of Pepe Le Pew.
