And would they be doing this angle if Big E’s career was actually over or worse, he couldn’t walk again? Because it being the wrestling industry, there isn’t a 0% chance of that happening. Well no one did a storyline about Droz. No, but they did use it for literal on air clickbait for their website.

Like I said, they made a storyline out of it and gave Owen Hart a defining trait because of it when SummerSlam '97 happened too. Wrestling (not just WWE) ALWAYS exploited legit injuries when they could. Death, even. Seems like the only times they relent is based on the more the news is picked up on. (Owen and Benoit for instance.)

No, but they did use it for literal on air clickbait for their website. I do not remember this. They said on Raw days after what happened to go on the website and find out what happened with Droz. I didn’t even realize myself until I heard the Bryan and Vinny review of it. The point isn’t that they haven’t done this or won’t do it, the point is that, in 2022, it’s f***ing boring. EDIT: Also, it desensitizes the audience about said injuries especially considering Big E had his neck broken. Making that just another angle might as well be the same as “I got ambushed and was taken out for a week”.

Hardcore Holly going for revenge against the man who broke his neck was a good story, or at least would have been if it had been Tajiri or Rhyno who did it. Instead it was Brock so we got Holly v Lesnar for the world title. “Wow… wonder who’s going to win that?” We all pondered.

I can see a bunch of people swapping out the overhead B2B for the side B2B. And hopes more fans now are understanding of it, unlike the fits pitched back in 2000 when the piledriver was banned. Still think it’s asinine banning piledrivers or any other move. If your talent are regularly f***ing up and injuring people with the same move over and over again isn’t that on you and your training not on the move? It’s not like it’s a ganzo bomb where you take the bump and pray for the best It doesn’t take a Bryan Danielson or Kazuchika Okada to successfully execute a piledriver, it’s a basic ass move

Thankfully, Big E will be alright but I hope he does retire since it's not worth risking another injury. As for the company not exploiting this injury for a storyline let's remember the man who is running the company did a sketch making fun of an employee's serious illness, dropped the "n" word, wanted to do an incest storyline with his family, and had employees get their face pushed into his butt cheeks. I'm not surprised at anything this company does anymore.

I was fine with it, but mostly since it was a Royal Rumble title defense, which tends to be a lesser challenger, anyway, since the show sells by virtue of the Royal Rumble match itself, typically, and most of the quality challengers would be expected to be in that match, instead.

Ok a few things here:
1. Super glad the injury isn’t any more serious than it is. I attribute that to Big Es incredible condition
2. Ridge Holloway couldn’t even do this properly to JOHNNY GARGANO.
3. Who the hell thought this was a good idea for him to attempt it on someone the size of Big E when he can’t even successfully do it to a guy the size of Gargano??
Somebody and not Ridge in my option has a lot to answer for with this. Whoever grew lit this should not be a producer anymore.

Even worse than that. And yes WWE too...

Apparently Fightful release who produced what now, and the newz sites nab it, so, apparently: * Michael Hayes & Kenny Dykstra produced the Brock Lesnar & Paul Heyman segment and New Day vs. Ridge Holland & Sheamus. I stand by my earlier comments on culpability and resignations.

Its so funny/weird to see all you guys arguing about who's fault it is, who should be punished , and if this should be a storyline, then seeing videos of the dude that actually broke his neck being positive and grateful.

Big E's got a natural talent for singing.

Big E's got a natural talent for singing. His pitch is just a little off key here, but that could be explained withe a broken freaking neck. But his vibrato is incredible.
