Calling him just "Ciampa" is ok with me. He got off easy, it could have been far worse. If it's just cutting parts of a name out, let alone to a name most peopole called him by anyway, then shit that's a passing grade to me. Imagine if they called him Tim Chomp Chomp or some shit like that. Tommy Stromboli Knowing Vince that'll be Tony D'Angelo's name once he's called up.

A few things from last night's 2.0 and the dot com profiles. Kacy is now officially renamed Katana Chance and KLR as Alba Fyre on the dot com. James Drake and Zack Gibson appear as of writing to still have full names listed despite seemingly getting downed to last names recently.
LA Knight is still listed as a NXT 2.0 talent despite being apparently 'internally' main roster according to Fightful and others. But they don't normally change until some appear on television.
On 2.0 they called Robert Stone: Mr. Stone. Name change? Just using a formal title? He's still called Robert Stone on the profile. I'm surprised I stayed awake to hear it during that match.

Have WWE forgottren about the infamous Fyre festival? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fyre_Festivalgiving KLR a last name that'll sadly be forever associated with a music festival founded by Ja Rule and Billy McFarland makes me glad I never watch WWE on a full time basis these days

Their obsession with nomenclature, is perhaps the thing that irks me most about the on-screen product. Everybody has to use the same terminology. Everybody has to have vaguely similar sounding names. And it all just serves to further remove me product. It takes away any small bit of verisimilitude that they could even hope to have. That being said, I still want Betsy Kilimanjaro. Yeah, I don't mind some of hte WWE-isms in theory... but in practice, it's ALL YOU CAN SAY! No one can be beaten, or win... they "knock off" their opponent. you don't get hi in the head you get hit "RIGHT IN THE SKULL!" Wrestling/Wrestler is the only one thing that gets said relatively often even if Sports Entertainment and Superstars are their official lingo. But like literally everything else YOU MUST SAY IT THIS WAY! it comes off clunky especially when it's EVERYONE who says it that way. Their obsession with confirming everything to their “brand” is the one thing that I hate more than anything else. It’s made the whole presentation feel so phony.
