It's being reported that the Giants have offered Danny Dimes a contract that's somewhere between 35M-39M a season. Danny of course was/is seeking 45M a year. I say do it Giants really duck up the QB market and create chaos for all. Just think about how Carr and Jimmy will view that they'd be like if Danny is worth nearly 40 than we should be around 50 which will domino for Lamar going if they're 50 than I'm at least 60-70. That's how the market always goes. Still, Jimmy ain't worth 50 dollars much less 50 million. I know I'm just hoping the market gets so crazy the Ravens are forced to trade Lamar into the warm embrace of the Jets.

The Chiefs are supposedly in pursuit of DeAndre Hopkins. In fairness, if you go on the rumor mill sites, so is almost everyone else...

So he REALLY doesn’t want to get drafted by the Colts. Jim Irsay has certain expectations regarding the character of his QBs. Being dumb enough to put Watson’s name in your mouth is likely a black mark against you as far as both Irsay and Ballard are concerned. The Colts requested to talk to Deshaun Watson last year to explore trading for him, so I doubt Stroud will be hurt in the Colts' eyes by mentioning Watson. They did, but the Colts beat writers all claimed the Colts were never serious about it. I think they wanted to know what Houthi’s market was was to know what a division rival was asking for.

On a much more fun note: Anthony Richardson has made himself some money today.

On a much more fun note: Anthony Richardson has made himself some money today. QB measurables mostly get overrated. Brees and Brady had terrible measurables and are two of the best ever. Cam Newton and RGIII had amazing measurables are their primes were short as hell.

I mean you're right... but it isn't fair to throw RG3 under the bus as if he was an epic bust, Mike Shannahan's stupidity cost the man his career

I was saying they had short primes, not that they were busts. RGIII got injured because the staff and FO were more focused on the playoffs than his long-term health. But the fact that he was a mobile QB meant that him getting injured was more of a possibility. And Cam just got beat to hell. A guy who is big and fast can extend plays, but they can also take more shots because they're extending plays and not going down as easily. So there's another side to the athleticism. Which is why I worry about Fields and that line he has, it's got every ingredient for disaster.

Teams were able to tee off on him, and the refs didn't care because Cam's a big dude so he can take those shots. The refs did not enforce the rules when it came to Cam getting hit.

Yeah, the officials called open season on Cam. It's weird because the press covered it like crazy and they didn't change the way they called at all.

Cam Newton and RGIII had amazing measurables are their primes were short as hell. On his Combine performance alone, Anthony Richardson just vaulted from a borderline first-round pick to a likely top-10 pick. Someone is going to go wild over those numbers and make a big splash for him come Draft day.

Dwayne Haskins, Carson Wentz, Gabbert and Ponder, Joe Flacco, JP Losman, Kyle Boller. You should never trust a guy whose stock skyrockets after the games are played, but it happens all the goddamn time and it just takes one team to buy in.

I don’t watch a ton of college football. But Anthony Richardsons college numbers look pretty pedestrian while playing for a middle of the road team.
I get the numbers at the combine are exciting but do we just forget his college stats ?

Someone going to draft him on those numbers and a few really good Mahomes like plays in college and hope that he plays like Patrick weekly in the NFL. Dude could be unstoppable in the right system or be in the XFL in a few years. We’ll see.

I mean you're right... but it isn't fair to throw RG3 under the bus as if he was an epic bust, Mike Shannahan's stupidity cost the man his career I severely disagree that Shannahan deserves the blame for RG3. 1) Yes, he got hurt immediately after coming back from an injury, but if the training staff clears your starter to play and he says he’s ready to go, you play him. 2) RG3 insisted on massively changing his style of play. He wasn’t as good at that style of play as his backup, so he lost his spot. I get wanting to adapt to losing his athleticism with age, but it needed to be gradual. 3) He still made decent money as a player and outlasted the guy drafted before him (though Luck definitely out earned him). Having said that, there are 4 quarterbacks drafted after them (and 1 UDFA) who are still in the NFL, 2 of whom have definitely made more money than Luck (Wilson and Cousins) and one that may have (Tannehill).
