Fulham's manager recently complained that their close season preparations have made them unlikely to be competitive in the upcoming premier league season. Complaining about "im upstairs" is becoming a bit of a tradition for Fulham managers. Anyway, its possible that Khan will be changing his sleeping pattern to GMT so he can spend all night on the phone sorting things out leaving him no choice but to delegate more as there's only so many hours in a day.

Honestly was thinking the same thing. Tony isn't as disliked as his dad is by Fulham fans but they're tired of being a yoyo club and Fulham has had a lot of transfer bids rejected. Plus it was reported that during the ROH ppv he went to England after Dynamite, came back for Death Before Dishonor than flow back to England

Kinda surprised Regal hasn't been given a bigger role backstage given his experience. Though maybe he doesnt want one. This group seems like the same group who were already doing things, just with official titles now. Plus Madison Rayne, who I always thought was perfectly fine in the roles she's had at Impact. Always wondered why WWE never gave her a shot about a decade ago. Anything that suggests a better focus for the women in AEW is good. Regal mentioned even in WWE he was pretty much a consultant and on screen figure only since 2019 and he's happy to keep that role now due to health issues he had I see. Still hope one of the other vets can sort out the second hour problems with Dynamite that many here have had with it for a while now (women's match in the same quarter hour, cramming backstage segments before and after the match before the main event starts).

Still think they should pick up Danger as a coach as well, but I have faith in Madison.

He hangs out around the ring all day at TV and gives tips and feedback to anyone who wants them.

I wouldn't jump on Rayne's appointment quite yet. No matter what the sport is, some of the best coaches were not particularly the best players. It's a different skill set to coach others. She's not just going to be working on their in-ring stuff, but the whole package. I mean, Maria Kanellis did a great job as a coach and she was never very good either. Madison “Jose Mourinho” Rayne.

Very much a positive; with the growth of the promotion since its inception it's something that had to get done sooner than later, and having a clear line of command and outlined responsibilities is key.
And yeah, have to think Daniels has been swamped for awhile, and meantime he's wanted to keep wrestling, too. QT still wrestles too, of course, but now they have others in the mix who are fully focused on office stuff, as well.
End of the day, I think part of the deal is that Khan is a solid booker and has a good mind for the business and growing the company, but he's simply not a guy who's going to be able to coach wrestlers and who isn't going to be able to sit down with everyone for equal amounts of time to make sure all divisions and parts of the card are being addressed at once; the former is better for people with longer in-ring careers and the latter is too much for one person to handle in a promotion of this scale (and not even counting ROH!). Making this stuff clear and having clear go-to people to handle different aspects of talent development and production, it's all needed as AEW aims to take its next step, especially whenever the next TV deal arrives.
And I'll second wanting to see Allison Danger hired, too. Something that's dogged AEW's women's side is that a big portion of that side of the roster doesn't have the experience level the guys do, and when Khan's booking a show for national TV he's likely got that influencing how he lays things out. Getting more coaches in for the women's division, especially women who've been up and down the road and know the unique aspects of what women succeed with and too often put up with in pro wrestling, is important.

This is very good news. I hope it translates to things improving onscreen and backstage. Especially for the women, and hopefully things improve in some way for foreign talent.

Players are willing to come to us as they see at least development opportunities if we don't stay up, the chance to move on with better reps and more experience. Fulham offer none of that, as the club just buy and sell at random and have no strategy whatsoever.

Madison “Jose Mourinho” Rayne. Madison “Joe McCarthy” Rayne. "Are you now, or have you ever been, a Knockout?"

Rayne did a lot of backstage stuff in Impact and they have the best booked women's division in American wrestling (though hopefully the new creative direction in WWE makes things closer there too). Does Deeb have a good reputation for being a coach? She's a great wrestler but that doesn't always translate to being a great coach. yeah madison has done work with the knockouts before, and i keep hearing rumors TK has had discussions with maria as well (depending on her status with Impact i suppose) who seems to have a good head for the business. since they've already mentioned madison having a match on rampage i can see her getting into the role of "vet the up and coming young wrestler upsets/feuds with to establish themselves" in ring but mostly behind the scenes. i think deeb is more focused on the wrestling side of things so probably doesn;t want to transition to coaching right now. as long as TK doesn;t bring back a Beautiful People reunion i'm fine with this move.

So just to give context for the reason Tony likely announced official promotions, just this past week went from Columbus Wednesday for Dynamite to Canton for the Hall of Fame game, to Grand Rapids for Rampage/BOTB, back to Canton for the Hall of Fame Ceremony, to England for Fulham's EPL opener vs Liverpool, back to... wherever Sammy and Tay got married

Rayne was never that good onscreen and turned that into being at the top of one of the more innovative women's divisions in North American wrestling
The talent in AEW all leave her in the dust - with her advising them they could all become even better, frankly

There's something a bit off about Madison:s part mentioning that she's a Mother. So what? Tony has kids too but that wasn't mentioned. I don't wanna say it's outright sexist but it's definitely a bit weird.
