So Pat Buck is essentially their new head of talent relations, just below Tony Khan.
Schiavone is a senior producer and talent advisor.
Dutt and QT are taking on more prominent roles in creative and talent relations.
And Rayne will be a coach.

I mean, they have Deeb right there… I don't think they want to officially have Deeb be a player/coach because that is a lot for one person and if someone is going to coach, that should be their primary responsibility. And Madison was a good worker who has years of experience in the ring on television as well as backstage. Seems like a strong choice to me.

Good. I'm glad that AEW recognised there was a problem and made the motions to correct it.

I wouldn't jump on Rayne's appointment quite yet. No matter what the sport is, some of the best coaches were not particularly the best players. It's a different skill set to coach others. She's not just going to be working on their in-ring stuff, but the whole package. I mean, Maria Kanellis did a great job as a coach and she was never very good either.

Rayne did a lot of backstage stuff in Impact and they have the best booked women's division in American wrestling (though hopefully the new creative direction in WWE makes things closer there too).
Does Deeb have a good reputation for being a coach? She's a great wrestler but that doesn't always translate to being a great coach.

Madison has a lot of experience as both a wrestler and working backstage.

She has been a coach before and I've heard good things but it seems like she wants to focus on being a performer right now. And she can certainly help folks she works in the ring with. But I think they wanted someone who could focus 100% of their energy on coaching.

Rayne has never been any good. Very doubtful she can provide anything Besides the fact she helped write most of the storylines that helped make the Impact Women’s division one of the most prolific in recent company history, you’re probably right.

Not sure she’s going to be involved in creative at all. The press release doesn’t mention that (while it does for Dutt and QT).

You could argue a lot of this was needed a bit ago (and I’d agree) but at the same time, two of them were basically giftwrapped to them by WWE and Madison as of a month ago was Knockouts tag team champion with Tanille Dashwood so I’m glad the pieces fell into place to make it happen.
It might not solve all the issues but it’ll likely make a drastic difference day to day.

Really happy to see Madison join as a coach. Been a fan of hers for a while. She's really good at what she does and has years of in ring and backstage experience.

It sounds like TK realizes that some things need to be delegated. Congrats to all of these people on their new or expanded roles.

Looks like Daniels is staying in his “Manager of Talent Relations” role.

And coaching does involve more than just executing a dropkick. She may not be going to Tony Khan and running through a three month Jade storyline. But she will be there to help them tell stories in and out of the ring. She will be there to help them carry themselves and come across like stars. Solid coaching there can enhance every element of the division including the creative.

You can argue that people wearing too many hats in AEW is a detriment, so Deeb being able to focus on just being a performer instead of player coach with more dedicated coaches is a good thing. What happens with Christopher Daniels now?

I think a good change here is highlighting guys like Pat and Sanjay and making it clear what their role and responsibility is. It sounds like they were doing a lot of this already but this provides structure and clarity. I've been at organizations where there is someone you can go to for XYZ but you don't know who it is or how to find out who to go to. If you're a new talent coming in, there's a clear org chart now of who to go to for a lot of stuff that probably slipped through the cracks earlier.
