Much deserved. OC never really needed a title, but he's always so over that he deserved a moment. Yes he was a made man from the Jericho feud, but still nice to see.
Probably going to drop the title to Ego (who also deserves his moment) but still cannot take this away from OC

I'm a bit surprised they didn't save this match for "Full Gear", but I'm glad Orange Cassidy has finally be rewarded for being one of the most over wrestlers in the company with a championship reign. Also, I'd love if Danhausen started referring to himself as Co-All-Atlantic Champion.

I think the reason they didn't is because they want Best Friends vs Death Triangle for Full Gear where Best Friends win I'm not opposed to this match or that outcome, but I'm convinced that Death Triangle are place-holder champions and will hold onto the AEW Trios Championships until The ELITE return. I think that fact that Khan went ahead and pulled the trigger on Cassidy dethroning PAC will setup the trios match for "Full Gear" where the Best Friends will come up short again. Anyway, do you remember when Trent Beretta returned from his spinal injury back in March, and initially started showing a more aggressive and heelish side, how quickly was that dropped? I really thought that he was perhaps in line for a heel turn, or some sort of singles push. With that said, I'm happy for Orange Cassidy and glad that Kris Statlander was on hand to partake in the celebration as hopefully she's back sooner than original expected. |

I’m so happy. I had legit tears in my eyes. I’m not going to go as far as to say I know this man, but I’ve seen him A LOT over the past few years and he’s gone out of his way for me a whole bunch and he’s just the nicest, most deserving dude. This was pretty perfect.

They've kind of had Ego waiting in the wings so they probably wanted to start to build towards that. |

I'm here for Ethan Page being the first in line to challenge Orange Cassidy for the AEW All-Atlantic Championship as they were kind of planting the seeds for him taking out comedy characters with his match with Danhausen as well as him referring to himself as All-Atlantic Ethan Page in some promos a few weeks ago. So, yeah... A natural progression of his arc would be challenging the Freshly Squeezed on down the road. |
