Or, whatever a face turn for him is, but what started last week definitely felt in full effect at the end of the show. He even did his first dumb face tactic of firing Stokely before getting his ass kicked.

Loved it. Played out perfectly. We’re definitely getting his corporate rock-to-peoples champ transition.
Was kind of weird to see him so vulnerable at the end haha and for Tony to speak flatteringly of him. Hope we get a MJF/Mox tag match together on the way to FG.

That ruled
The Firm looked awesome and they needed it, Stoke looked like a guy you dont wanna bully and cross, he has more power than you think
Ethan Page looked like a standout star for them, and I hope he continues to be. If he was added to the match as a third man I wouldn't even complain
There's still a chance this is all an elaborate ploy and MJF turns back at the PPV, but for what it was? Perfect segment

I hope he keeps acting half torn conflicted about everything and not just straight up baby face.

I still can't see them turning him face before he has a heel run with the belt, not least because the last three champs have been faces.
This definitely continues to show he'll make an amazing Rock-like face though.

No, that was not a face turn.
They're clearly setting up some elaborate swerve because God forbid you give any push to the Firm.

I think they may have no choice but to turn the guy. Fans aren’t cooperating at all anymore. They want to cheer him.
I can’t do another swerve where the heels beat each other up but have actually been working together all along, either.

It is going to be a nice scene at Full Gear when MJF pulls out the ring and has to decide whether or not to use it.

Yeah, this seems like a swerve set up.

AEW never commits to face turns while someone's hot so I see zero reason to suspect they will this time.

That ending segment was a good rub for The Firm no matter how you wanna swing it They all looked great, they beat down the champ and Maxwell who has been virtually untouchable to this point Even if the end game isn't for them to be a world champion they established themselves as a serious faction, which is what you wanted after Maxwell tried to big man Stokely in the last few promos.

The Acclaimed would disagree with you on that, hell Keith and Swerve would disagree with you on that when they won the belts too even if that's not a turn per say it's committing to a hot act. I get Hayter and Garcia went through similar arcs but let's not act like AEW doesn't ever jump on hot acts when they happen And even if MJF didn't stay face here... it's MJF, I don't see how that's a shocker.

Didn't watch the show but heard what happened and right now I am expecting this to lead to a Rock Survivor Series like swerve. That being said I can see MJF pulling off a anti-hero babyface.

Yeah, this seems like a swerve set up.
MJF face run wont last long, if anything I see Regal becoming MJFs new manager, the whole firm beatdown on MJF seemed more like having MJF disconnected from them because with Punk gone they cant do Firm vs Pinnacle.

For the record, I don't think Max ultimately choosing the dark side constitutes a swerve necessarily. Now if this entire thing turns out to be a ruse? Then yes it's a swerve. But if all of this results in him deciding to stick to his evil ways? Then that's just storytelling.

Even in the short-term, Ethan Page vs. MJF is very intriguing.
With FTR vs. the Gunns immediately looming, a Pinnacle reunion looks likely, too.
However we can make Moriarty a star, let's go!

Was the ending segment so different from his promo segment with Rene? Because even though the crowd cheered for everything he said, he's still an unlikable asshole all the way through. The tone of his voice, his facial expressions, his Moxley impression, his vulgar "joke" towards Rene - if that would be his traits going forward as a full-blown face, I'm good. I'm not convinced he can be a face that I'd like.

No way he's a full blown face, he's more in that Gambit area for me, an asshole who also happens to lean more face or rouge Like can't help himself to be a shithead even if he's actually trying to change, old habits die hard.
