I tuned in last night for the first time in a few weeks and I felt like I didn't miss anything. The wrestlers put on great matches every Dynamite but without that special something to bring the viewers in every week I can see this trend continuing. I'm a fan of long term booking but some of these feuds have been going on for a year. It's very repetitive. Hopefully this weekend will shake things up a bit. Does anyone feel MJF as a face/tweener might not be a good draw? The wrestling in AEW is stellar 98% of the time Storyline wise is where they falter IMO. Nothing is compelling (to me, not generalizing and claiming it as fact) in the storyline department. MJF was and then they added the Firm and that took all the momentum the feud had, again, in my opinion

While I think this is a one week weird rating, the show has become really stagnant. Reminds me of when a bunch of people were hurt and TK just iced the booking for a minute. Like, the show is still good, but it's missing a fire that shows earlier in the year had.

F***, these anecdotes are starting to become very overdramatised and unrealistic. That’s the gimmick brother brother Kifflom?

Besides MJF and the Acclaimed, noting really has any meat or a hook to it imo. I really hope they knock it out of the park with the PPV and get their shit together after all the scrum and firing and people acting like a dipshit on Twitter shenanigans.
And for god sakes can we get ROH Dark’s YouTube spot so I don’t have to see a bunch of ROH belts and crap when I’m trying to watch AEW?

I hate to be an obvious MJF Fangirl (except I don't really hate it) but I do think MJF as champion will stabilise things for a while

I would just caution folks against using one rating to plant your flag about anything AEW needs to do. This is one of the examples I point to. Here are some 18-49 ratings earlier this year: 09 February 0.41 02 February 0.35 26 January 0.41 19 January 0.44 12 January 0.39 05 January 0.43 You know what took place on that February 2nd show which was the clear low point? It was the 1st Punk/MJF match. The one built up for months. The feud that had been doing big numbers in every segment. And it continued to do pretty well! But for whatever reason, folks didn't tune in that week. Now patterns matter and overall they're down a bit. But I wouldn't see this week in particular as a big deal. Even next week is a bit weird since it's Thanksgiving Eve which typically hurts AEW. All we can do is see the monthly patterns and go from there. Here are the month by months: Jan .42 Feb .37 Mar .38 April .36 May .33 June .34 July .33 August .33 Sept .37 October .31 November .30

They started the year strong and then settled into a pattern over the summer before getting a bump in September with all the turmoil/news before settling into a lower pattern again as they started facing more sports/news competition.

These ratings are always so weird. This drop and then next week it’ll be 1 million with no real explanation why.

The booking for me has been noticeably worse since Cody left, I honestly believe he was a lot more involved with booking than Tony and everyone made out.
To me, the show has felt directionless for a quite awhile now and Tony clearly either needs someone to really help him booking wise or he needs to hire someone to book the whole thing.....the overall booking really needs changing up.
I've gone from someone who would be glued to the TV and have total concentration for Dynamite/Rampage, to just having Dynamite on in the background why I do something on the computer or play on my phone. As for Rampage the last month I haven't watched it live and only watched the matches that interest me, which hasn't been many lately.
All I know is something needs to change because sadly I'm losing interest with the product at the moment.

Also Danielson was pushed toward the World Title and he was heated until he lost to Mox because they didnt want BD 1st reign to be very short.

Just about every ROH title match on AEW TV is an AEW guy against an AEW guy with very few exceptions. I get the critique that it's contributed to the roster bloat, that's fair, but this reads to me like "the belts are the wrong color so I don't like watching them" or something. Honestly it's the same thing to me with Storm having the "interim" tag and people freaking about that. It's fake, I don't care.

Historically their go home shows are poor I watched this episode in full and don't remember much In fairness, it was a show in CT. We're a giant ball of fun, here 🤣

ROH is AEW at this point so eh, if they aren't given a show they'll strongly have to re-think how they are handling all that but Khan appears confident they'll get a timeslot.

All it takes is having another companies name on it and people lose their minds, there is no difference in AEW and ROH at the moment yet it is one of the top complain points.

It's fake, I don't care. while I don't feel strong about the name itself and more of the bagage behind the booking ,there is a lot of people that care about the kayfabe and titles ,that enjoy that part and when you overload it ,it feels like too much ,it's too much to keep track and focus.too many titles to care about every single one. Too many wrestlers with the roh brand coming in.

Even though it involves AEW wrestlers it still doesn't seem like a part of AEW if that makes sense. It seems pretty obvious that Tony is featuring ROH so much because he wants to lock down a media deal for that product instead of feeling like ROH enhances the AEW product.
