Seeing so many people on the convention circuit share their memories of Jason. I wish he could have realized how beloved he was in his darkest hour.
Severe depression is such an evil thing.

Just doesn’t add up man, dude looked like he was enjoying life, helping people out, enjoying interacting with fans, just a very humble person, hard to imagine he was dealing with depression? Had suicidal thoughts? who knows, mental health is a very frightening thing to deal with. Really sad. Rest in Power to a true childhood hero Sometimes the most outwardly happy people are really the most depressed, and it's masking the hurt. And sometimes the most outwardly sad people are actually the happiest.

This one hurts, goddamn. Was a huge fan of MMPR growing up, and like most folks, was a huge Tommy fan. This is a massive kick to the gut, especially right after losing Kevin Conroy

Tommy and Kimberly was the first pairing I supported.

All the outpouring of love for JDF really warms me up inside.
He may have passed on but a piece of him will all live inside of us all.
That's the type of legacy you want to leave behind.

I legit teared up reading some of the tributes from Walter Jones, Catherine Sutherland, Karan Ashley, Johnny Yong Bosch, and David Yost. Amy Jo Johnson's video was heartbreaking.

When I was in 2nd or 3rd grade I had to do a cursive writing letter, and we were supposed to write it to a celebrity and I chose Jason David Frank. I knew it wasn't getting sent out, but still went with the White Ranger

I never really watched Power Rangers, but I know many people who did, some of whom got to meet JDF at various cons over the years. The one thing that literally every single one of them said, every single time they met him, was that he was one of the nicest guys they had met. I don't even just mean at a con, they were talking ever. He remembered meeting them in the past and always gave time to have a direct, fun conversation.
As best I can tell, he seemed really proud of being the Green Ranger, embracing everything that came with it. He brightened not just people's childhoods, but their adult lives, by showing up and sharing in the joy the show, and by extension he, brought to them. It breaks my heart to think that someone who did that for so many was hurting that badly inside.
I hope he's at peace now. If anyone's earned that in the next life, it's someone like him, who gave so much to people in this one.

When I was a kid, I took karate lessons from the dude who allegedly trained him. I tried sticking it out cause we were told we’d eventually get to meet him. I ended up dropping and it was legit one of my biggest regrets ever.
Watching all the old footage the last day or so, and peoples reactions, it’s clear he touched a lot of people and was woven into an infinite amount of childhoods and fandoms. I think he knew that judging by several bits and pieces of his the last 10-20 years. I hope he is at peace.

This is just a total gut punch. You never know what demons people are wrestling with without anyone else knowing. RIP, JDF, and I hope you’ve found peace, and wherever you are, you’re seeing this outpouring of love for you. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png)
