Maybe I'm giving them too much credit, but it seems pretty obvious that Jey is going to screw Sami out of the title. That would be said protection that Sami needs Oh, absolutely, the one thing that hinders that is that usually if Jimmy can't travel outside the country, Jey doesn't either. Logically, it should be different because Jey is so important to the story but we'll literally only find out by the PPV. I wanna say that they made arrangements last time they did Canada, but I may be wrong

Sami needs to beat Roman. Jey needs to beat Roman. Cody needs to win the title, but doesn't need to beat Roman. It just feels like a complete waste to have Cody beat Roman for the title. He doesn't even need to win the title now. He just needs to win the title. That story is so much more interesting if Cody faces a bump in the road every now and then. He's won every match since he returned. I'm not saying he should lose over and over again, but defeat in his first title match also doesn't make him a choke artist. "I intend to finish my story, you need to finish yours." Cody's even said it himself. Cody can win the title at Money In The Bank, Summerslam, Wrestlemania 40, Raw, Smackdown, NXT or even at a house show. He doesn't need to beat Roman to do it. The thing is, though, Cody is (at least in merch terms) a genuine draw. It's what I mean to say when he's not Batista 2014 because Batista wasn't having his merch restocked the day it sold out for his Royal Rumble win. People are invested in his story right now so as a booker, common sense dictates you go with that as soon as possible. Like, if anything, the big hinderance in all this is that, unlike Cena/Batista in 2005, you can't give Cody one belt and Sami the other because one guy has both belts and even if you make a good story around Roman losing twice (and they can considering everything else with the Bloodline), it'd solve the issue entirely if Roman only had one belt. Not just merch sales, Meltzer mentioned a couple weeks ago they had house shows in Columbus and Pensacola and the advances weren't good, then they announced Cody was working both shows and they did record gates in both cities. Cody's a draw in WWE.

No the WWE title isn't enough If you are going to put someone over, put them all the way over and don't half ass it. Roman taking any pin takes away from Cody shine and lessens the win he would have at Mania even in the main event While I can see some of your points I'll have to respectfully disagree. If someone winning the WWE title in the main event of Wrestlemania isn't enough to put someone over, then we've gone far off the rails, even if the WWE champ lost the night before. I get what you are saying but things have to be put in context. Roman isn't just champion, he's a man who hasn't had his shoulders pinned to the mat in 3 years. That's a big part of the package. The Tribal Chief has never taken a pin L Why would you give that up now? If it didn't matter you would had him lose to Drew at the Castle and won the title back after. He's not just the champion, he's the guy. He's the final boss. Giving anybody a pinfall or submission win over him before the Mania event is a bad idea Giving someone another L is not impressive for the person you are trying to put over. Besides the match being garbage, look at Roman/Taker. Roman gave Taker his 2nd L but who cares. Someone else has already gotten all the fanfare that comes with beating Taker at Mania so anything else after for whoever beats him is meh.

Cody's a draw in WWE. Exactly. And we talk enough about how WWE doesn't capitalize on people enough (or does it badly, Hi Ryback!) so it'd be hypocritical if you don't take the logical path ASAP with him. Giving someone another L is not impressive for the person you are trying to put over. Besides the match being garbage, look at Roman/Taker. Roman gave Taker his 2nd L but who cares. Someone else has already gotten all the fanfare that comes with beating Taker at Mania so anything else after for whoever beats him is meh. I will say this is a different precedence to what's going on with Roman considering what the streak was about and how it was eventually was built. I'd say a better example might be if HHH lost the WWF title to Jericho and then Rock beat him at 'Mania 2000 because of the similarities between the two (HHH had DX/The McMahons, Roman has the Bloodline, HHH/Roman dominant heel champ etc). Taker continuing to wrestle didn't so much have a story as much as WWE needing to have a Taker match because there was nobody else they could use besides Brock, Roman and HHH as draws.

As the saying goes, you only get one chance to make a first impression and if Cody doesn't win the title RIGHT NOW it won't matter later. Sami is up there but he's just not there yet. He's got a shit ton of goodwill he can live off of coming off his fresh babyface turn Sami is not destroyed by taking an L to Roman, we have already seen that happen. Cody taking an L to Roman or not getting the most heat he can devalues him. Cody can easily lose the one title a month or two after and it won't hurt him as much because he shouldn't be built to be a conquerer but Roman has both titles and he needs to win both

At this juncture I'd probably do something like...
- Cody beats Roman for both titles at Mania, with Jey refusing to help Roman being the big reason why. - Cody announces he'll be defending them both separately because he respects both lineages or something, loses one within a couple of months while having a few more months with the other. - Roman loses to Sami at Backlash then goes away for a vacation for awhile. - The Usos split in the draft, with Jey as a face going solo. - Build Jey up for a bit as a featured player in the upper midcard, eventually have him beat Roman at some point but it doesn't have to be immediate.

Honestly, no qualms with any of that. For the second point, you open Cody to having matches with people from Smackdown to set up something where you can continue stories if he's drafted there or just have some cool title matches.

Someone else has already gotten all the fanfare that comes with beating Taker at Mania so anything else after for whoever beats him is meh. They don't need to split the titles just because they have two successful babyface characters. Here's the other thing - Sami's story doesn't HAVE to end at Elimination Chamber. It's not hard: 1. Sami and KO beat The Uso's at Mania. 2. Cody beats Roman at Mania with Jey leaving the Bloodline hanging. 3. Roman returns at SummerSlam and doesn't want Cody. He wants to fight Sami, because Sami's the one that split up his family. In the meantime, you could also have Jey split off from Jimmy and then you could wind up with three huge matches for SummerSlam: 1. Cody/Gunther 2. Roman/Sami 3. Jimmy/Jey If you just beat Roman twice, that's kind of it. Sami's story remaining unfinished gives themselves a bit more story to explore in the next six months. I think the REAL ending of the Bloodline should come at Mania 40 with Jey vs. Roman.

His return promo was about how he needed to win the title for his father. He's doing it for his family's legacy and himself. The endgame is Cody winning the title. And he's going against another person who claims to be doing it for his own family's legacy, but is just doing it for himself. The way he's gaslit the Usos into following him, and honorary family member Sami. He told Sami to blast his best friend while Owens was handcuffed. It's one man who's doing it for his family and winning the title cements the legacy, against a guy who claims to be doing it for his family but is doing it for himself. It's a simple story that has to result with Cody winning.

Cody not winning the title at Wrestlemania this year would be similar to Lex Luger not winning the title at SummerSlam in 1993. Got to strike while the iron is hot, WWE may not get that chance to strike it in the future.

It's not going to hurt him to drop it and win it back a time or two over the next year or two. My prediction is he wins the title at this Mania and most likely drops and wins the title back sometime this year or at least Royal Rumble as I can see him walking into next year Mania as a defending champion

They have the perfect opportunity to split the belts staring them in the face, are they going to ignore it? I think they unified them because they assumed The Rock would fight Roman at WrestleMania and unifying the titles makes it all the bigger (according to Vince). Now, it's stupid that there's one world championship. It's so stupid money in the bank winners are cashing in on the US title. Give each man their win, have two titles and be happy for once.

meltzer confirmed last week that the usos are both clear to enter Canada now. Well then! I guess we’re on for the Jey turn. I don’t see it being a straight up decision on Jey’s part. If he interferes it’s going to be heavily implied that if Jey doesn’t step in line that something will happen to Jimmy. Then when KO/Sami vs the Usos happens and Roman is only about himself and Sami continues showing respect to Jey…then the turn is on,

This is the one time WWE should not be deviating from their plan.
Because like other captain has said if you are gonna put someone over then put them ALL the way over and that man is Cody.
But Roman should not be losing to anyone else before Cody because it takes away Cody's story and the Mania main event by having someone else beat Roman for the titles beforehand.
Sami's time will come to beat Roman but this is not that time IMO.

Sami needs to beat Roman. Jey needs to beat Roman. Cody needs to win the title, but doesn't need to beat Roman. It just feels like a complete waste to have Cody beat Roman for the title. I don't see either as a hinderance. I'd be on board with Cody beating Sami at Wrestlemania 39, as long as the crowd are more behind Cody in LA (if it were down to me, I'd genuinely call an audible on the night, based on crowd reactions). We've a genuine chance of two happy endings, after years (not just this reign) of misery booking. Why can't we have them both? Why have that amazing segment between on Cody and Sami, and then not deliver on it?
