I'm convinced that the best interaction one could have with a celebrity is a nod and a smile and nothing more. Yea, pretty much Anytime I have run into someone and we make eye contact it is a silent nod and keep it moving. People need to learn to be respectful. Just because they are on TV doesn't mean you just get to harass anyone. Also f*** the people that use kids to get shit signed

I'm convinced that the best interaction one could have with a celebrity is a nod and a smile and nothing more. Honestly celebs shouldn't even have to do that,to celebs "fans" are just simply a mass of strangers that out food on their tables, they don't have to do anything for fans at all unless they get paid for doing so. Fans should only show their support by buying their gear or just simply cheering from afar. It must be horrible for famous people having to deal with so many strangers who want a piece of them, it doesn't matter man woman or child, leave them alone unless it's a paid meet and greet.

Before I start this, let me say I know it’s not cool to bug people just trying to get through their day…BUT He’s spoken about it a lot and Penn Jillette always, always takes time for his fans because he realized “This is what I wanted. I wanted people to know me” His children, if he’s with them, take your picture with him. Jay Leno has a similar attitude. Which is “Can I get a picture?” “Yup” click. Is a 15 second interaction but “Hey man, it’s my dinner I’m eating with the kids, you’re rude blah blah blah blah blah blah” has now taken up 5 minutes. The time spent is worth less than the disrespect to some people. Oh, of course. I’m just saying at least two celebrities I know of take the position of when you choose a job that’s “Hey!!! Look at me!!!” They aren’t upset when people look at them.

It's not quite the same thing.

So what would happen if someone approached a wrestler with a handful of items and the wrestler signed each one with a fake name or a flat out "Eff You?" Would these guys still act like they got something valuable and claim success?

Can't blame Rhea at all. They are flying all the time. They are exhausted going from town to town. They just want their space and do what they need to do, getting in and out of airports. Surely the fans you bump into who just happen to have a picture of you are the ones you should be avoiding?? If a fan just happens to bump into you naturally then I doubt theyd be carrying around a picture of you...and if they are, RUN Edit - oh wait, I think I misread her tweet...

Its getting crazy and the ebayers are ruining it for everyone else. Who may just wanted A picture signed or a picture. Which there is a time and place for. But those ebayers who bring 10 funkos and ext to an airport like the guy did with Rey. Then blasted him for not signing them, again he was traveling not at a signing. Ebayers have killed it for everyone else because they don't know boundries.

Ebayers are the pits but honestly,"real" fans are just as bad and can be even worse as they can be almost obsessed with a celebrity to a point its unhealthy.Fans are total strangers at the end of the day and outside of a professional environment where there is security and protection for the celebs, regular folk should leave them well alone because having people you dont know run up to you must not only be annoying but also terrifying to,imagine how Sonya Deville feels when some clown runs up to her wanting something. Im quite surprised a lot of wrestlers dont have their own security or bodyguards to stop people.

I wouldn't want to be bothered all the time, but I also wouldn't want to give the impression that speaking to me in public is generally wrong. If I'm approached at the gym by someone I don't know, it's either fine or tiresome for the same reasons a public figure is approached. I wouldn't want to give the impression that people are awful just for any kind of engagement. So I agree with every wrestler who doesn't want to get harassed, but I disagree with generally stating you shouldn't approach them in situations where everyone else is also potentially approached for good reasons.

At this point we all know the good & bad that comes with being a celebrity. Either quit or learn to maneuver fame the way many celebrities do.

There's nothing more to say or understand. Nobody has the right to bother anyone, no matter how feverishly you try to rationalize it with "Well, I saw them on TV, so they owe me something." Leave. People. Alone.

That's part of the drawbacks of fame.

Most of this isn't genuine fans. It's autograph hunters. I've been to a couple of movie premieres and seen them hanging around with their posters and Funko Pop boxes neatly taped to boards to get the best signatures while talking about which signatures they already managed to get at the airport and hotel. I think it's part of the reason why private signing sessions are becoming such big business - celebrities would rather offer their signatures in a controlled environment where people can't flip them for enormous profits. I don't blame them either. I've seen people at comic shows get signatures from the artist, writers, whoever else they can than go back to their vendor booth and try and flip the book they just bought and got signed for more money

That means flying and going through airports and they can't possibly avoid that. Why should wrestlers quit their job when people could just stop being dicks?

What sucks about this is, if some knucklehead is denied an autograph, no matter how respectful the person they're trying to get said autograph from, that knucklehead is gonna go online and say how big of a jerk that person was.
What a world.
