Let's get a Wrestlemania XIX style mode in 2K24 where you play as Rhea Ripley and beat up random fans in the airport

I'm starting to think MJF staying in character isn't just for kayfabe reasons.

How can they maneuver in this circumstance though? Wrestlers need to travel to get to the shows. That means flying and going through airports and they can't possibly avoid that. Not my problem. That's for Rhea & other wrestlers to figure out. Other celebrities do it everyday.
Ahh. 11 posts and three of them are in this thread saying it's okay for people to harass wrestlers. Fair enough.

Kids are fine but as an adult leave people alone unless they are at a corporate event.

I don't blame her for being pissed. People really need to learn about and respect boundaries.

I remember being outside a theater in Washington DC and seeing the actor Jack Wagner swarmed by autograph hounds to the point he could barely get to his car.
And that was Jack Wagner (no offense to him, but come on).
Now, my friend, who was in the car with me, jumped out and ran over there to get his autograph, even though he has literally never heard of Jack Wagner before this. "Everyone else was doing it" he told me.
Some weird psychology around fame, I'll tell you.

No. Leave people alone. There's nothing more to say or understand. Nobody has the right to bother anyone, no matter how feverishly you try to rationalize it with "Well, I saw them on TV, so they owe me something." Leave. People. Alone. I never said anyone had the right to bother anyone. I said if it's such a problem either quit or learn to maneuver the way many famous people do who we don't see out & about. That's part of the drawbacks of fame. There are very few celebrities as easily accessible as pro wrestlers. They probably don't make enough money to justify personal security unless you're genuinely a top, top performer, there isn't the "team jet" so to speak and they're in airports getting badgered all the time. It doesn't seem like it's a "learn to maneuver" problem because they're not given the support from their actual company to stop this shit from happening. Tom Hanks went viral a few months ago for defending his wife from a bunch of overeager autograph seekers. I doubt it happens to Tom half the amount of time it happens to pro wrestlers like Rhea because he's got the money and infrastructure in place to get him where he needs to go without being badgered to this extent. Asking your fans to give you a little space while you're literally trying to commute doesn't seem like a "welp, that's just the price of fame!" problem when the actual company that made you famous in the first place is doing jack shit to stop it from happening. The only reason WWE's even getting involved right now is because Fiterman Sports is probably telling them that every time they sign something in an airport it's a dollar being taken away from them.

Your argument is basically "They're asking for it" and I find that absolutely f***ing disgusting. Nice troll account, though.

I honestly don't see the point in us "regular folk" getting our panties in a twist over this. We can't control the way someone chooses to interact with a celebrity.

We just have to teach people that it's not ok to have an attitude like...well, like yours.

At this point we all know the good & bad that comes with being a celebrity. Either quit or learn to maneuver fame the way many celebrities do. People like you are the reason I never want to be famous

Holy hell that sounds awful. I've been lost in an airport before, and to imagine the panic of not only not being able to figure out where you need to be, but to ALSO have five dudes (one of them VERY entitled from the sounds of it) hounding you every step of the way sounds horrible.

Pro wrestlers travel far more than most celebrities. No season, all year. No private jets, public flights. No team bus; cabs, rentals, and Ubers. Penn might feel differently if he had to deal with it 5 days a week every week all year.

I was fortunate enough to see my favorite singer and artist a couple times before he died and both times I felt the show was enough for me, so I didn't bother meeting him and getting anything signed after (even though the meet and greets were free and I'd read only good things from people who attended). Not knocking anyone who's into those things, just saying that meeting celebrities at all isn't my thing I guess.
