If I was in the presence of a celebrity anywhere, I would not bother them at all. They need their privacy and on a lesser note, I would be too nervous to ask them. I would never even say hello to them because of privacy and nervousness unless they did it first.

I think one of the best things that CM Punk ever did was help turn the tide a bit on this kind of shit amongst wrestling fans because GOD DAMN DUDE IT'S SO EASY TO JUST LEAVE PPL ALONE
Rhea's story makes me wanna scream out loud as someone that hates big city airports without even considering the possibility of 5 freaks chasing me while I'm trying to find a ride.

Last year at Double or Nothing weekend in Vegas, there were a group of people constantly hanging out at the guest elevators at Mandalay Bay with binders full of wrestlers' photos waiting for wrestlers to get off the elevators to ask them to sign them. Literally all day and night it was the same people waiting at the guest elevators. Just horrible behavior.

I saw Daniel Cormier at a Joe Rohan comedy show about 4 years ago. I was at the concession stand and saw him with two bodyguards. I was a little nervous to approach him, but my friend immediately went there and struck up a convo and got a selfie with him. I ended up saying f*** it and did the same. He was cool and asked me if I enjoyed the show. Not sure if I was being the asshole in that situation or not but yeah I agree if a wreslter is eating, traveling, at the gym then doing approach em

I remember being in Jamie Carragher's Health Bar with Leanne a few years back and Jamie walked in. For those that don't know who he is, he used to play for Liverpool from 1997 until 2013 and I was a big fan of him when he was a player (he's a terrible commentator/expert though imo lol).
Anyway, I left him alone and carried on with my date with Leanne. Later, as we were waiting for a cab Jamie happened to be leaving at the same time with his Missus and smiled in our direction asking if we liked the food and we confirmed that we did and he said good and carried on.
Point I guess I was trying to make is, that sometimes if you leave a celeb alone, even if they don't know you did it on purpose you can have a little moment with them to remember.

I do wonder in general what celebs really think about fans, obviously they can't say they hate them in public as it'll be a PR nightmare but behind closed doors they must despise them a little bit. Rhea is someone I can imagine isn't keen on fan interaction so being hounded like that must be so hard on her,and for women celebs in general who have to cope with perverts, stalkers and misogynists far to much. They need better protection at airports and honestly even at meet and greet fans should definitely not touch them, asking for a hug from a female celeb is a red flag for me.

Generally, people are appreciative of their fans It is the creeps and entitled people that they don't care for. There is a love/hate relationship but it is more so for reasons of not wanting to be bothered but more so personal space. Those network of people like the one she described who they all know about is who mess it up for everyone.

Also for the people saying "deal with it" yeah that is crazy and f***ed up
Let someone borderline stalk you on your way home or on your way to work and follow you until the last possible second. Let someone critique your work for the tiniest bullshit. Let your social media blow up with trolls and dickheads everyday all day. Let the only real personal time you get is when you are home and even then that isn't guaranteed (see Sonya)
So, yeah that it is there problem, it isn't mine is not cool at all. Have a little empathy
They may have chose the fast lifestyle of wrestling because they love the sport but they did not choose to be harassed and stalked

I served Jamie at Gatwick Airport once and just treated him like anyone else. Also did the same with Thom Yorke & Barry McGuigan (Who ordered a coffee and was the nicest guy you could imagine) The only person I remember giving fuss to was Alan Carr and that was just a nudge to the person to my left to say “Look who I’m serving!” Thankfully Alan took it well.

In the interview I linked earlier, she distinguishes between normal fans and people who are trying to make a profit selling autographs:

The more I mature, the more I realize it is just better to leave them be. They’re going to work. They’re going home. They’re living life with loved ones.

Really, there is an aspect of being a celebrity where if you want to have fans, you should be able to stop and take a picture with one. But it's just wildly different if you're just using that famous person to make money yourself. It's outrageous that these guys are even allowed in airports to harrass people.

Yeah, I mean, there's nothing I can say to someone whose work I enjoy that they haven't already heard a million times before from people who are way more articulate than I am.

Its getting crazy and the ebayers are ruining it for everyone else. Who may just wanted A picture signed or a picture. Which there is a time and place for. But those ebayers who bring 10 funkos and ext to an airport like the guy did with Rey. Then blasted him for not signing them, again he was traveling not at a signing. Ebayers have killed it for everyone else because they don't know boundries. Ebayers are the pits but honestly,"real" fans are just as bad and can be even worse as they can be almost obsessed with a celebrity to a point its unhealthy.Fans are total strangers at the end of the day and outside of a professional environment where there is security and protection for the celebs, regular folk should leave them well alone because having people you dont know run up to you must not only be annoying but also terrifying to,imagine how Sonya Deville feels when some clown runs up to her wanting something. Im quite surprised a lot of wrestlers dont have their own security or bodyguards to stop people. Like I said there is a time and place for those who want them for personal reasons. Which is mainly public signings or even outside the venue if security is present. I know there are some fans who are obsessed and can be considered dangerous. Sonya and hell Alexa Bliss is another that comes to mind. Yeah I get that. But before the days of ebay, it seemed like it was easier to be a fan to get an autograph. Yes even than there was some creapers out there.

One of the worst hasslings I've seen is a video on Youtube from about 20 years ago of former Queen bassist John Deacon being surrounded by people shoving items in his face to be signed. The footage shows the poor guy covering his face from the stress of it all.

Yeah, don't hassle them. The only place I'd approach a wrestler not at a meet and greet or the like is at a bar, because that's an explicitly social situation, and there's no harm in buying them a drink (if they want one). I'd not expect any further interaction than " Hey, man! Big fan, what are you drinking?"

If you're harassing someone at an airport you're in ahole. Clearly these are people who are just showing up to meet the flights talents are on don't have anything better to do. Have these people never flown before? Do they have no idea how stressful trying to make connections can be? Or do they just not care? It's that one right? The just don't care about other people.

Don't harass people. Especially at an airport, a place nobody wants to be and a place that should not exist.
