I always enjoy these, and wonder just how they are going to squeeze 'Mephisto did it' into every one. Mephisto is really the guy tied up >_> That’s Sacha Baron Cohen tied up?

Good catch. The trailer is full of cool "wonder what that's about" moments. For example, I didn't notice Carol is holding something behind her back in the group shot, likely a Cosmi-Rod (Kree Accuser warhammer). I'm sure the trailer will make for a few fun trailer breakdowns. I always enjoy these, and wonder just how they are going to squeeze 'Mephisto did it' into every one. Mephisto is Goose

Review bombing is already going on. Imagine if we could get these losers to attack the real problems in our world instead of getting butthurt over stupid bullshit.

Probably done to ensure in 7 months time that Dune Part 2 (Probably with a Aquaman 2 preview attached to it) will beat the Marvels at the box office

We told you people hate it but you wouldn't listen."

I always find it funny when folks insist that Captain Marvel made it to a billion solely off of Endgame hype. Meanwhile Ant-Man and the Wasp came out 2-3 months after Infinity War, in July (meaning summer blockbuster), stars an already established hero, and on top of all that, features a lead the internet tells me is much more popular than Brie Larson. Reminder, Ant-Man and the Wasp is the lowest grossing film in all of Phase 3, and rounds out the top (bottom?) ten lowest grossing films in the franchise. Yeah, I don't buy the "Captain Marvel only made a billion because of Endgame hype" narrative either. The hype definitely helped on opening weekend and probably boosted the earnings by a hundred mil or so, but it took over a billion dollars over two months at the box office and audiences knew pretty damn quickly that the movie had no tangible links to Endgame. It's not unreasonable to conclude that audiences simply liked the movie and its word-of-mouth was strong. The reason Capitan Marvel was so successful was obviously the Disney Corporation buying all the tickets in every theater in America for months. It was so successful that I wonder why they never did it for any other movie?

Somebody at Disney forgot to renew the Positive Review subscription after the pandemic, too.

Not in terms of the release date, but I think the story has so much to do, or so much that it could do, and I'm unsure whether it can come together meaningfully and successfully. There's only been one Captain Marvel movie to date. Carol thinks she's Vers for 2/3s of the movie, so we the audience only know Carol as Carol for the final 1/3 of that movie, plus her appearance in Endgame. So on top of the movie fleshing out Carol's character as we left her at the end of her first movie, we have 25 years of off-Earth history that might be nice to know about, as well as the post-Infinity War pre-Endgame time when Carol finally made it back to Earth to address, because... We don't know much about Monica Rambeau, either. We know that Maria died, and that aspect of loss is something that WandaVision tried to put over as a way for Monica to connect with Wanda. Unsuccessfully, I might add. Monica probably has a lot of resentment for Carol being off-planet for 30 years and not being around when Maria died. So, that potential character conflict on top of fleshing out Monica's character is a lot to add on top of all the Carol character stuff. If the movie even tries to deal with any of this. Then there's the Kamala of it all. I've only watcher her D+ show once. It started well enough, the first two episodes were fun, and it had a lot of promise. But the show fell off a cliff, and hard, in terms of quality over the last four episodes. All the Noor Dimension/Clan Destin stuff? Awful. Is her bangle a Quantum Band? If so, is that how the stinger of the D+ show happened? But then, *how* did that happen? What led to that character having a Quantum Band as well? And for me, I still don't quite understand how Kamala became a fan of Carol...? Since Carol has only ever been on Earth for a cup of coffee, how has that been enough time for her to a fandom? What qualities has Carol demonstrated to the world that would make her an inspiration to Kamala? And is this movie even going to do any world-building stuff with the Skrulls to connect with Secret Invasion? We dont know how long Carol spent on Earth. After the beginning of Endgame she could have hung around for a bit helping restore order before heading out to do the same for other planets. For people who lived through the Snap she could have become one of Earths most popular heroes. Maybe, but wouldn't it be cool to actually see... any of this? The real world has caught up with the MCU timeline and release schedule, and we've seen pretty much zilch of the 5-year period when half of life on Earth vanished. Why not show Captain Marvel, or someone like the Hulk, or a new hero altogether, getting over with the remaining human populace? However, I don't trust Feige and co. to do anything meaningful with it now when they didn't then.

I thought the movie was coming out next month since McDonald’s I happy meals are themed after the movie right now. Kinda odd for that kind of rollout when the movie is 4 months l away from coming out….

Flerkens are one of my favorite things about the Marvel Universe, MCU, comics or otherwise.
