The post credits scene should have been a hint at possible Marvel/DC crossover where Goose the Cat has an interaction with Streaky the Super Cat.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}On one hand the idea of there being a Captain Marvel in that universe that went unmentioned this entire time is completely stupid, on the other the continuity of the X-Men movies was always an utterly incomprehensible nightmare scrawl that punishes you for thinking about it anyway. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}That's an understatement. There's definitely four distinct timelines – prime, dystopian, corrected, and Logan – but things get so convoluted that sometimes it's unclear which timeline any given movie is taking place in.
And that's without trying to figure out which timeline, if any, the Deadpool movies fit into, because there's at least two in those movies as well. {Spoiler}Go ahead and figure out how pre-timeline hijinks (or even if it was after them) Trask grew two feet and became black.

Hated the teaser, just gave me Love and Thunder vibes where every other bit of dialogue was a stupid joke. Outside of Guardians and Spider-Man this last batch of Marvel movies are either stupid or just blah. I’ll put this one in the “probably won’t ever watch” pile alongside The Eternals and Quantumania.

with the SAG-AFTRA strike done, is it too late to get Brie, Iman, and Teyonah to do last-minute hype?

Just got back from seeing it and i enjoyed it. The 3 leads together were fun and i enjoyed their chemistry together.
Might've been a bit too goofy at times (one scene in particular i won't spoil was a bit cringey.) It was nice having a shorter, more snug film. Didn't really feel like it outstayed its welcome and i enjoyed the scenes together with the 3 leads.
As far as the post credits go and i'll try to keep it vague - i'm interested to see the direction it goes.
Wasn't the best Marvel film but it certainly wasn't Morbius or The Eternals bad.

Motherf***er Guessing you're going to wait til it comes out on video to see it? and to use the movie pass on another movie like Five Nights At Freddys instead?

Was gonna save it for “Next Goal Wins” but that’s f***ing Fox Searchlight. I might be sitting on this until The Iron Claw comes out. That’s A24, so I’m definitely good there

My one issue with the movie {Spoiler} All movie it's established that if they use their powers against the villain that it charges up her bangle. Why didn't Carol and Monica use their powers to power up Kamala's bangle to use it to take down the villain or at least negate her power? I kept waitingforit to be the big "ah ha!" moment and show that all 3 needed to combine their powers to win.

I had fun. It was quick. Like nice little adventure.
I think people will jump back on board for Deadpool 3 and once they finally get to the big avengers cross over films.
But people are just tuning out till it gets there.

I just got back from seeing it. I had fun watching it and I'm glad it's a bit of a step up in terms of the MCU's previous releases. It was more enjoyable to watch than The Eternals and didn't have the rushed effects of ant-man and the wasp quantumania. I was originally planning to watch it this Sunday, but I felt like watching sooner out of spite to all the neckbeards.

Just got back from a matinee showing. Mixed bag over-all. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}When the movie does traditional superhero stuff, it's a fun space adventure film. When it tried to do comedy, then it is really bad. The Disney musical planet, the cat herding, Kamala's parents in general, just all really obnoxious and went on way too long. The good news is that unlike something like Love & Thunder, where the pointless humor was interwoven throughout the story, here it's more segmented, so if you watched this on like streaming or something, you could skip over those parts and not miss much of the real story. Unfortunately it also makes it feel like you're watching two different movies at the same time.
While the threat is there, the villain herself is completely forgettable. Her motives are so generic and her character is just so underwritten. Maybe if you had some kind of super charismatic and over-the-top actress in the role they might have been able to make something of this, but Zawe Ashton just wasn't bringing it. None of this is helped by a rather underwhelming final battle between her and Marvels. It needed to be choreographed to a pop song or something. A reprise of "Intergalactic" would've worked.
So is Kamala living in Louisiana now? That seems like a really weird place for her to be based out of. As a fan of her original solo series, a lot of the appeal was due to the Jersey City setting.
For the mid-credit scene, Beast looked a lot more CGI-ish then the last time I remember Kelsey Grammar in the role. But hey, I wouldn't blame him for not wanting to go through make-up just for a minute walk-on cameo. If they had done something like this six movies ago then I think people would be a lot more bullish for Marvel right now. As I said before, I think people are getting too frustrated waiting for the whole multiverse thing to go anywhere beyond teases and missed opportunities.
Well, if nothing else, at least I did not have to sit through that annoying trailer for the Grand Turismo movie again.

It should have been a much bigger moment than it was but Marvel only has themselves to blame. Unlike the Infinity Saga there was too much filler in between that’s watered it down. Tobey and Andrew showed that people were game for multiversal fun. They’ve been waiting forever for the X-Men to arrive. Problem is the mixed bag that Phase 4 has been has watered it down. Also Secret Invasion coming before this which wasn’t the plan screwed with things. Even my wife wondered where Fury’s wife was considering the refilmed end of that show.

I just got back and I had a great time. The theatre didn't seem all that full, maybe half. As for the movie, I do feel the 3 main actors worked well together. There was plenty of comedy interspersed but I felt it was less Love and Thunder and more Ragnarok, in that the comedy rarely overstayed its welcome. Just to be clear though, I don't mean that the movie is on Ragnarok's level, it's not. I'm more talking about the level of humour interspersed with seriousness. I continue to believe that they chose the right person to play Kamala and I would love to see her and Tom Holland as Spider-man have a geek out moment. It's an enjoyable movie that doesn't take itself too seriously.
{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} Although I will totally acknowledge the flerkin bit was a bit much. But I had a blast with the singing scene and felt it was great in how it showed the differences between the three.

Looks certain it's going to be the lowest opening weekend of the MCU. It was tracking for $60 million and the lowest is the $55 million Incredible Hulk did, but the Thursday gross was just $6.6 million and between that and ticket preorders it's currently on track for possibly as low as $46 million.
