None I can talk about here. I'm reliving the 1860s.

The sad fact there’s no French Connection Three: Doyle Goes Hawaiian starring Brie Larson as Popeye Doyle yet.

I often overhear conversations and I'm continually bewildered by the amount of boring shit people are enthralled by. Today I had to sit in close proximity to two yuppies who rattled on about office wear and the gym for about two hours. Who finds this stuff interesting?

because of some national legislation that passed years ago, students in the school district I work in can go on to their next grade and graduation EVEN if they don't pass and fail 1 or more classes
additionally, the school district I work in gives numbers for grades on report cards instead of letters

Wonderful, giving people post videos of themselves on youtube doing free stuff for others and viewers are all over the comments section judging them for making money on the videos they post. How the hell else are they supposed to afford spending time and money on strangers? You cannot give money without making them first.

The idea of social media, friends and like minded people getting together to discuss their lives and interests is a post apocalyptic hellscape where people are generally awful to one another.

I tried talking to the world the other day, and it talked back to me in Sanskrit. I was so confused.

I have these thoughts sometimes when I hear about the things other people are into. I just can't understand how the hell they find them interesting or even got into them in the first place. Then I remember that I have a detailed knowledge of wood types and how they effect the sounds of instruments, and that I also actively involve myself in the discussion of backstage drama of a business where grown men play fight in their underpants. That usually knocks me directly off my high horse lol.

People who watch ten hour clips of grass growing.

There's a guy I work with and his interests are Japanese monster films, coin collecting and plane watching, and they're pretty niche interests but it's cool that he's into them, even if I don't "get" all of them. Even the things I mentioned above, I can understand why someone would be interested in bodybuilding, or in fashion. I think it's almost more that some people aren't interested in things, because the extent of the discussion was what types of shirts are worn by private equity people, and the hour they spend at the gym. It's just so mundane.
Maybe I'm biased because I can't stand yuppies and yuppieism. I don't know.

And on the other side of the token, I cannot for the life of me figure out how any of the 3 things you listed here could be anything beyond mind-numbingly dull lol. A big one for me is car people. My girlfriend is a car person, and I just cannot fathom being fascinated by a mode of transportation. Cars are simply to get from one place to another to me. I'm really not more interested in a car than I am a city bus, they serve the same purpose to me. But there are millions of people out there who can sit around all day everyday, rambling on about engines and turbos and even stupid shit like shift knobs. I don't get it, never will. But hey, I know this much: I'll take any of the things we've discussed over some gun collecting wackaloon. Talk about an entire group of unimpressive people, jeez...

This sounds really soapbox style but I am completely sick of the desensitized fascination with murder and most egregiously the adoration of the assailants. Swear I am absolutely shocked that Walmart does not sell serial killer trading cards in store people are that numb now.

But hey, I know this much: I'll take any of the things we've discussed over some gun collecting wackaloon. Talk about an entire group of unimpressive people, jeez... It's a really hard thing to articulate, I suppose it's about people having interests rather than just shit they do. Like, if someone likes a load of stuff that I don't understand but they're really into it then that's cool (obviously within reason, because like you said, there's a lot of crackpots out there into some really dodgy things), but what gets me is people who I don't feel are really interested anything. I'd rather someone had a really intense interest in stamp collecting or trainspotting than no interests, and I think a lot of people don't have any interests.
And it really bothers me because anyone who lives in or around a major metropolis will know that they're basically now geared pretty much solely towards people whose only goals in life seem to be the attainment of capital and status, and it just depresses and bores me.

Getting older at the same time as how consuming media has changed.
I see someone headlining a festival and I have no idea who they are.
Also I’ve heard of Frank Ocean but never thought he was as big of a performer that cause that much of a commotion.

When I found out that there are actual flat earthers out there who understand physics and fundamental scientific concepts about as well as a dog understands calculus. Some people, some people, are just f***ing with them. "Mad Mike" that dude who was into homemade backyard rockets, before he smashed into the Earth killing himself, knew damn well the Earth was round. He just said it was flat because no one was dumb enough to give him money otherwise. He event gave some BS excuse for why he calculated the curve of Earth into his rockets by saying something like, "It's just math" Now, he was still clearly insane, watch him on Tosh, but he knew where his bread was buttered. Think of it like this, they probably pay for Twitter too.

STILL RELEASED THE DOCUMENTARY...
