After 106 days I am proud to declare that Tony Khan is no longer a bitch, and have renamed the thread accordingly. Now let's not be so hasty One fight at a time. When a child finally outgrows their night light, you reward them for it and let a day go by before you address the concerning number of mutilated animal corpses piling up in the yard.

And all is well until the moment when you walk right into the cat and nearly trip up. Which is why I have a motion sensor light plugged in the hallway. Perks of having a black cat.

TK announced the firing before the PPV when he could have waited and milked some additional buys. He also went out there and faced the fans live in the building and said his peace to the audience at home. I really respect him for that. Going out in front of Punk’s people to deliver the tough news js most certainly not bitch behavior, as we’ve learned. I’m gonna have to go ahead and disagree. I watched the 7 minute clip. Still bitch behavior IMO because he couldn’t even say to the fans live in person “I fired CM Punk/Phil Brooks.” He dances around it and says “uhh I’m sure you know what happened, lemme tell you, I made sure a team of lawyers who hired more lawyers made the decision and then I signed off on it — oh btw did I tell you I grew up here and love Chicago? And that I love wrestling?” Given the circumstances, he did the bare minimum of having to finally fire a star for cause. But given that rambling speech where he sucks up to the crowd and never actually says point blank what he did, and that he admits a team of outside lawyers had to make the decision for him, the thread title shouldn’t never changed and TK is still a bitch 🤷🏻♂️

Still birch behavior IMO because he couldn’t even say to the fans live in person “I fired CM Punk/Phil Brooks.” He dances around it and says “uhh I’m sure you know what happened, lemme tell you, I made sure a team of lawyers who hired more lawyers made the decision and then I signed off on it — oh btw did I tell you I grew up here and love Chicago? People who are still gonna latch onto the "TK is a bitch" thing in earnest really don't understand how much actively goes into this shit. If he would have said anything before it was finished and before a definitive statement could be released, I don't know if you realized how much that could have f***ed things up.

Sorry I can't quite get the image of TK standing up chanting 'CM Punk', a few weeks ago, out of my head. The fact he ended up lying in fear under a pile of monitors in the same place is about the clearest example of f***ing around and finding out as you can get. If he truly was ever scared for his life, he's incredibly fortunate that his hubris didn't lead to a more serious outcome for himself or someone else.
Pleading for mercy from a bunch of Chicago fans pantomime booing from behind a security barrier doesn't change the fact that this is all largely on him.

For the love of Hannah Montana, here I am ready to finally enter this thread with all sorts of clever wittisisms only to learn Khan is no longer Kyle's mom. Life just isn't fair.

Pleading for mercy from a bunch of Chicago fans pantomime booing from behind a security barrier doesn't change the fact that this is all largely on him. No one was absolving Tony Khan of wrongdoing in this thread But we are also happy he did what needed to be done and glad that nothing worse happened in it being done He tried, Warner tried, in the end, CM Punk could not stop being CM Punk. It is what is, but in the end, he reached a breaking point, and we're glad he did And in doing so it is for the betterment of the company, the right decision, and does in fact help alleviate the pressure of the bitch meme largely circulated around CM Punk. Also him chanting and trying to support a dude imo isn't some condemning thing, he does it for everyone, he wanted to try and support CM Punk, but it didn't work, and CM Punk didn't want to be supported... also we still have no clue if him chanting was even true, and at this point it largely doesn't matter with what's happened since imo.

This does not absolve Tony of his bitchness as he admitted to the live crowd that he was forced to fire Punk...
He even said that the independent committee decided this not him.
He doesn't get to play both sides and reap the benefits of both and wait until his hands are tied to stand up and pick a side.
His side was always with Punk.

Actually the bare minimum would’ve been doing nothing.
The guy fired one of his biggest draws literally hours before a couple major company events in said draws hometown. Being the one that’s actually trying to run a business here, not to mention a full grown adult - would’ve been a whole lot more “bitch” to brag about firing someone or running them down personally.

It may have broken his heart to do it, but Tony took his first step towards getting off the Bitch Train.

We all know how pretty much any other promotion would have handled it: announced it on the internet, maybe had a broadcaster or a wrestler bring it up. Let the show get derailed.
He may have squirmed out there, but he literally took the heat for the company and more importantly the roster.
Not a total absolver, but it was the bravest and most vulnerable scenario.

Certainly not trying to argue or fight with anyone here I just stand by the opinion that the decision for Khan (which is ultimately the right one) was more necessity than noble.
He will forever carry the scars of this Bitch Scarlett letter.

He will forever carry the scars of this Bitch Scarlett letter. After all the stuff he's done and how the council suggested he fire Punk, yeah that man is a bitch. If Cody was a bitch for losing pre-determined matches then Tony is a bitch for real life stuff. One's fake, one is real.

FTR Gun is still walking around getting pins at Wembley and throwing up Punk signs on TV….Tony’s not out of my Bitch Book yet.

I know being fearful for one’s life might seem hyperbolic in this case, but Tony must’ve nearly died from boredom from Punk’s nonsense.

When you get attacked suddenly, you fear for your life. What else would you fear for? Your mere safety? Who has the time or experience to evaluate whether a situation just puts you in physical danger or your life at jeopardy. Sure Punk wasn't going to knife him to death and it sounds overly dramatic, but fearing for your life when someone attacks you out of the blue is what usually happens in that wacky thing we call our brain.
