Decided to try for the Super Suit and I'm kind of convinced anyone who claims to have ever actually gotten it is a liar. I got to 99 once when I f***ed it up, but that was very much an anomaly, my eyes just do not have the endurance to make it all the way. It took me several hours but I did get it. Got a blister on my thumb from it too. Just kept trying on a spiny in Mushroom Way without the jump shoes on, keeping my pro controller plugged in due to a millisecond difference in input.

So who's lost to The Apprentice so they can become Sniftser 4? I have yet to see any video evidence that this is in the new game. But hey, there's about 100 of Fat Baby Yoshi! Decided to try for the Super Suit and I'm kind of convinced anyone who claims to have ever actually gotten it is a liar. I got to 99 once when I f***ed it up, but that was very much an anomaly, my eyes just do not have the endurance to make it all the way. I have done it. I did on the physical SNES cartridge too. Granted, it took me 19 years to accomplish. However when I did it, I leveled up to Level 6, then got a Game Over to send me back to the beginning since I didn't save my game. Then I figured out the amount of damage it would take to have 100 jumps (that would be base damage for the first jump and the bonus damage for every additional jump). Anyways, I did it on a Goomba, then saved my game... therefore it's always there at the beginning whenever I start a new game. Nonetheless, it's definitely the hardest task I ever have done in a game. The best advice I can give is to establish the amount of damage, and not to count along with the jumps.

Honestly, I don't think the damage matters that much. It's all about timing. Started my second playthrough and just kept doing it after getting Super Jump, managed to get the 100 before I hit Moleville.

But knowing what damage I dealt at the end will tell me if I did the 100 or not. That way, I can stay focused on the goal as opposed to either counting along or checking with the Chow in Monstro Town.

Though the remake they put the counter on there for you to make things easier.

Ah, fair. Though the remake they put the counter on there for you to make things easier. That actually would make me nervous and distract me. I hope that's something you can turn off.

As mentioned earlier, I haven’t played through this game in 25 years, but wow it is way shorter than I remember it being. I’m about 9-9.5 hours in and I’m at Nimbus Castle. I could’ve sworn this was a 20-25 hour game

Got it a couple days ago. The cosmetic overhaul is good, mostly because I now know that those loops coming out of Genos head aren't some weird looking nose. Also appreciate that you can switch party members during combat now helps strategize during boss fights and the triple attacks are also pretty cool too.

I don't know if its because my motor hand skills are poor due to autism, but I can't even get 15 on the super jump. The most I get is about 13.

I'm really addicted to trying to get my turn count lower on the bonus boss. Initial one was 64, by now I've got it down to 30.
Edit: And now it's 21.

If you have a Pro Controller try this: under the settings on the Switch main menu, go to controllers, and mark on for wired data transfer. Then plug in the controller when playing. There is a minor input lag when wireless, so this could possibly help timing issues. I'm really addicted to trying to get my turn count lower on the bonus boss. Initial one was 64, by now I've got it down to 30. Edit: And now it's 21. My initial was in the 30s, even with the super suit and lazy shells, but most of that was due to doing Mallow's thought peek on all involved and slipping up the timing a couple of times.

Finally managed to get the damn Super Suit, did feel pretty immensely satisfying when I got it. Subsequently dropped my time on that fight to 17 turns.
Edit: Right now I've kind of leveled out at 14, hit that a couple times now but struggling with getting lower.

I do like how the parade starts in classic 16 bit before turning into modern graphics

I can now confirm that Valentine retains her jiggle physics.

My first time was 68 turns, because I thought I could leave one of the minions alone when it ran out of FP. Turns out that was not a winning strategy and caused a full heal, which just dragged out the boss since I was in no danger after that point.

I think they should've had Boomer be one of The Rematches, as it was implied that he survived the fall after his fight.

I always thought it was humorous that his demise was his own doing. Not that you need "death" in a Mario game, but his was always funny.

good to see 20+ years later and with on screen prompts... I still can't wrap my head around the yoshi race.
