News and NotesA Demolishing DeceptionThe biggest happening to come out of the recent Saturday Night's Main Event: New Years Revolution PPV was Mr. Fuji's shocking betrayl of Demolition to side with the Powers of Pain costing his now former charges the WWF Tag Team Championship in the process. While it was a shock to most there had been dissension behind closed doors for quite some time as Demolition was apparently getting tired of the devious one taking credit for their success. At the same time Fuji had apparently been in talks with the Powers of Pain for months in hopes of acquiring a team that in his mind was a better product and whom at the same time would listen to him. One thing's for sure is that Demolition will not take this lying down as they've vowed to get revenge against the new champions and their deceitful ex manager and reclaim the Tag Team Championship they feel they should've never lost. Battle For The CrownFormer King Harley Race has recently returned to the WWF after having been out since last March after suffering a serious injury at the ends of Hulk Hogan during a match on Saturday Night's Main Event. Forced to vacate the throne his manager Bobby "The Brain" declared Haku the new King. With Race now back this has caused a conflict of interest for the Brain. Race wants his crown back and claims to still be the King since he never lost it. At the upcoming Royal Rumble the current King and former King will do battle to see who the one true King is. Rooster No MoreAfter months of abuse the Red Rooster has finally decided he's had enough of Bobby Heenan. On a recent episode of WWF Superstars the Rooster had a match with Tito Santana. During the match Rooster was continuously brow beaten by his manager to the point where it distracted him so much that he was rolled up by Santana and lost the match. After the match Heenan continued the tongue lashing and then slapped him in the face. This was the straw that broke the camel's back for the Rooster who then proceeded beat the Brain from pillar to post to officially sever ties with him. On top of that's he no longer wants to be the Red Rooster, a name given to him by Heenan to insult him, and now wants to be referred to by his real name Terry Taylor. Now out from under the Brain's thumb and with the backing of the fans it will be interesting to see how Taylor fares in the World Wrestling Federation going forward. He definitely will need to be looking over his shoulder as his vindictive ex manager is surely plotting something to get back at his former protege. Big John Back in StyleFans were surprised to see Big John Studd return to the WWF last month after a two year hiatus and even more surprised when he refused to rejoin Bobby Heenan who was his manager during his previous stint in the Federation. Since returning he definitely has been impressive as he's mowed down every opponent he's faced so far with ease. Studd has also vowed to go through any Heenan Family member the Brain throws at him. So far he's made good on his word as at the recent Saturday Night's Event: New Years Revolution he scored an impressive win over King Haku. Studd is one of the thirty participants in the upcoming Royal Rumble match and with his awesome size and strength has to be considered one of the favorites. Miraculous RecoveryAfter a potentially career ending concussion suffered last June, Rick Martel has made a miraculous recovery and return to the WWF. So far it looks like the handsome French Canadian hasn't lost a step as he's scored a string of successful victories since returning. At the upcoming Royal Rumble Martel's skills will be put to the test as he's one of the participants in the thirty man Royal Rumble match. New ArrivalsThere's been some recent new arrivals in the WWF recently. "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin a tough and seasoned ring veteran who has achieved a lot of success in other federations all over the country and the Bushwhackers an unusual and unorthodox brawling duo from New Zealand who will surely be a force in the tag team ranks. All three newcomers will be participants in the upcoming Royal Rumble match.

You didn’t preserve Warlord’s 2 seconds elimination? For shame. Nah I had to show Warlord more respect then that. While funny because of how unexpected it was I never understood having one half of your new monster heel tag team get buried like that. However for some reason Hogan had some weird obsession about eliminating Warlord from battle royals: officialfan.proboards.com/thread/622865/hogan-eliminating-warlord-battle-royals.

News and Notes Dissension in the Mega Powers?Seems like there's been dissension brewing for the Mega Powers. On a recent episode of Wrestling Challenge WWF World Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage took on Akeem in a non title match. Right when it looked like Savage was about to secure a win with his patnet flying elbow smash Akeem's Twin Tower tag team partner, the Big Boss Man, attacked Savage with his nightstick to a draw disqualification. However before any more damage could be done the Hulkster was down to the ring in flash to help his parter, slamming both the Slickster's twin bohemoths to clear the ring. Then on an epidsode of WWF Superstars the following week it was Hulk Hogan taking on Akeem. Again the Boss Man interfered to draw a disqualification. However unlike Hogan who was down immediately to help his friend, Savage elected to stay backstage as he felt "Hulk had it under control" and didn't need his help despite pleas from his manager Miss Elizabeth. However after the Boss Man went after Elizabeth when she returned ringside and handcuffed her, Savage then finally ran to the ring and chased off the Twin Towers with a steel chair. Whatever problems there is between Hogan and Savage they will have to get on the same page quick as they will take on the Twin Towers in the main event of the upcoming Saturday Night's Main Event. The Lord of FlatbushAngered by his recent on air firing by Terry Taylor, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan has now took on longtime preliminary wrestler Steve Lombardi of all people to get his revenge for him. Not only has he acquired Lombardi's service to get even with Taylor but also to prove a point in that he's vowed to make an "even more limited" wrestler then Taylor a winner. Now recrhistend the Brooklyn Brawler, Lombardi so far has proven to be more successful since coming under Heenan's tuteledge as the Brain has encouraged him to bring out more of a street fighting style from when he was growing up on the streets of Brooklyn. Taylor and the Brawler will collide at the upcoming Saturday Night's Main Event. Monopoly MillionaireThe recent Royal Rumble was filled with controversy. At the center of it was the winner of the event, the "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase who used his wealth to basically monopolize the match to give him an easy path to victory. First he made a deal with Slick to purchase the #30 draw of one of his Twin Towers which then in exchange enabled Akeem and the Boss Man to enter back to back. It was also abundently clear that the Towers and Powers of Pain had been paid by Dibiase to constantly help him and eliminate the other remanining competitors in the match. Then the Boss Man and Akeem even eliminated themselves to allow Dibiase to win after taking more money. Although there isn't much President Jack Tunney can do about the result of this years match, apparently he is looking into ways to prevent any such chicanery from taking place in Royal Rumble's going forward. Happy TrailsHarley Race has left the WWF. Race last appeared at the Royal Rumble where he was defeated by King Haku.

News and NotesMega Split! The most powerful union in WWF history is over as the Mega Powers are no more. Things came to a full boil on February 25th Saturday Night's Main Event when the two wrestled The Twin Towers. During the match, Akeem threw Savage out of the ring. Savage was thrown onto Miss Elizabeth, knocking her unconscious. Hogan saw what happened and carried Miss Elizabeth from the ring to the medical area. When Miss Elizabeth was revived, she implored a distraught Hogan to return to the ring to help Savage, who had been left to fight the two gargantuans on his own for several minutes. Hogan eventually called for the tag, but Savage, who was furious with being abandoned during the match, slapped Hogan in the face. After some choice words to a confused Hogan, he took his world championship belt, and stormed back to the locker room. After defeating the Twin Towers by himself, Hogan went to check on Miss Elizabeth. Savage was back there too, who was caught in mid-tirade yelling to Miss Elizabeth that as world champion he was tired of taking a backseat to both Hogan and Miss Elizabeth in the Mega Powers pecking order. Upon Hogan's arrival, Savage turned his frustration to him, accused Hogan of trying to steal Miss Elizabeth from him, and manipulate the belt away from him. Hogan implored Miss Elizabeth to try and talk some sense into him before Savage attacked him by hitting him in the face with the title belt. Even when Elizabeth shielded Hogan, Savage was still going to further the attack until Brutus Beefcake and officials fortunately stepped in. It has already been signed that the two former friends will face one another at Wrestlemania V when Savage puts his WWF World Championship on the line against Hogan where the Mega Powers will explode! Million Dollar BeltThe Million Dollar Man continues to make headlines in the World Wrestling Federation. After several unsuccessful attempts to claim the World Wrestling Federation Championship including at one point even trying to buy it, Dibiase has now decided to make his own belt. A Million Dollar Belt to be exact. Designed by Terry Betteridge of Betteridge Jewelers in Greenwich, Connecticut; it is definitely an impressive sight. The center plate features three large dollar signs that are entirely filled with cubic zirconia, and there are three small diamonds on the back. The strap itself is made up of multiple metal dollar signs that go around the entire circumference of the strap. All of the metal on the belt is gold plated. Obviously the championship is not sanctioned. It will be interesting to see if Dibiase will put the championship up for grabs during matches. Knowing him probably not. Happy TrailsThere's been a couple of departures from the WWF. Both Nikolai Volkoff and "Outlaw" Ron Bass have parted ways with the company.

News and NotesNew ChampionsIn a WWF first all three championships changed hands at Wrestlemania V. Demolition reclaimed the WWF Tag Team Championship by defeating the Powers of Pain and former manager Mr. Fuji in a handicap match. Many questioned Demolition agreeing to such a match but it ended up being a smart move on their part as Fuji has proven to be more dangerous outside the ring. Also they wouldn't have to beat the Barbarian or the Warlord to win the championship but instead could win it by pinning Fuji who while at one point was a formidable competitor and former tag team champion himself, hasn't wrestled much over the last several years and has mainly been managing. In the end Ax and Smash were able to corner the devious one and hit him with their Decapitation Elbow Drop double team to become champions for a second time. In perhaps the biggest surprise of the evening "Ravishing" Rick Rude upset the Ultimate Warrior to win the Intercontinental Championship. Although not without controversy as Rude's manager, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, tripped Warrior as he was trying to suplex the Ravishing one back into the ring and then held his legs down during the cover to ensure he wouldn't kick out. Keeping the title will likely be an even tougher task for Rude with several top notch challengers, most notably a now irate Warrior, gunning for him. Then in the main event Hulk Hogan won the WWF World Championship for the second time by defeating former friend "Macho Man" Randy Savage wheh the Mega Powers exploded. Miss Elizabeth was in a neutral corner during the match but didn't prove to be a factor in the outcome as she was sent to the back for being too much of a distraction for both men. Late in the contest Savage took control and seemed to have the match won with his flying elbow smash off the top rope, Remarkably Hogan would kick out and hit Savage with a big boot and legdrop off the ropes to once again become champion. Hogan will surely have to deal with Savage in the near future in a rematch but first he will have to get through the Big Boss Man who has been a thorn in his side since last fall. The Hulkster and the Boss Man will clash in a steel cage match at the upcoming Saturday Night's Main Event with the title on the line. Big ReturnsTwo WWF legends have returned to the WWF in "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka. Piper is coming out of retirement after leaving the WWF two years ago to pursue a career in Hollwood including starring in the critically acclaimed film They Live. The tough Scotsman was a perennial contender during his last stint in the Federation and surely will have no trouble picking up where he left off. Always known for his gift of gab Piper also has joined the Prime Time Wrestling studio with Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. Snuka, a native of the Fuji Islands, is a powerful man who combines strength and incredibly agility. Snuka is an ariel master who electrifies crowds with some of the maneuvers he can perform off the top rope. The Superfly's greatest offensive weapon is his Superfly Splash which has propelled him to countless victories. Since returning Snuka has quickly made an enemy in the Honky Tonk Man. After a recent victory on WWF Wrestling Challenge the Elvis Presley lookalike refused to leave the ring as he insisted on staying and singing his song for "all of his fans". Eventually Snuka came out for his upcoming match much to the annoyance of the self proclaimed greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time. The two would come to blows with Superfly clearing Honky Tonk from the ring. Honky Tonk would get even a few weeks later when he ambushed Snuka with his guitar during an interview after the Superfly became distracted by Honky Tonk's manager, Colonel Jimmy Hart. At the upcoming Saturday Night's Event PPV Rage in the Cage the two men will have a chance to settle their differences when they meet one on one. Managerial MovesThere's been several managerial moves and changes in the WWF recently. With Frenchy Martin leaving the WWF, Dino Bravo has now taken on Jimmy Hart as his new manager. After his shocking betrayal of Tito Santana at Wrestlemania V, Rick Martel has aligned with Slick. Former Ladies Champion "Sensational" Sherri has now made the transition to manager and is now the new valet for the "Macho Man" Randy Savage. According to Savage, Sherri is even more beautiful then Miss Elizabeth ever was. One individual who disagrees with this is Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake who has been referring to the former champions new valet as "Scary" Sherri. Unfortunately for the Barber he would soon pay for this as during a recent episode of the Brother Love Show he was attacked by the diabolical duo and to add insult to injury was given a taste of his own medicine as he then had some of his hair cut. The Barber has vowed revenge and will have a chance to do so at the upcoming Saturday Night's Main Event when him and the Macho Man collide.

5. Jake "The Snake" Roberts pinned "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase w/ Virgil at 14:27 with a rollup. After the match Roberts was double teamed by Dibiase and Virgil with Dibiase then putting him in the Million Dollar Dream until officals intervened (Roberts last appearance for five months).
6. Big John Studd defeated Andre The Giant w/ Bobby "The Brain" Heenan by disqualifciation at 5:20 when Heenan interfered. After the match a brawl broke out between Studd, Andre, King Haku, "Hacksaw' Jim Duggan, "Ravishing" Rick Rude, and Ultiamte Warrior; with Duggan, Warrior, and Studd eventually clearing the ring.
7. WWF World Champion Hulk Hogan defeated Big Boss Man w/ Slick in a Steel Cage Match at 11:02 by stealing Boss Man's handcuffs from an interfering Slick and handcuffing Boss Man to the top rope, with the champion then escaping over the top just seconds before Slick was able to uncuff Boss Man so he could escape out the door; prior to the bout, Slick introduced Zeus who then came ringside and awaited Hogan’s entrance; moments later, as Hogan approached the cage, he was beaten down by Zeus before Zeus then left ringside (Surprise debut of Zeus).

News and NotesHuman Wrecking MachineIt seems like art has imitated life as Zeus, Hulk Hogan's costar and nemesis in his latest movie No Holds Barred, has made his way to the WWF. Zeus made his debut as the recent Saturday Night's Main Event, attacking Hogan before his scheduled steel cage title defense against the Big Boss Man and leaving him laying. Standing approximately 6'9" and weighing around 300 pounds, the hulking brute also appears to impervious to pain as none of Hogan's blows seemed to have any effect on him. Has the Hulkster met his match? Mission DemolitionTag Team competition in the WWF has really been heating up as of late. Demolition once again sit atop the tag team mountain as champions but there is plenty of other formidable teams who feel they have all the tools worthy of the gold and are gunning for a title shot. The Twin Towers, Slick's mammoth duo of the Big Boss Man and Akeem, have made challenges to the champions on national TV and have proven to be a definite force with impressive recent wins over the Rockers and the Hart Foundation. Then there's Bobby Heenan's Brain Busters who on a recent episode of WWF Superstars scored a disqualification win over the champions. However on Prime Time Wrestling the Busters were then defeated by former champions, the Hart Foundation who are now also top contenders as well as a result. The Hitman and the Anvil know what it's like to have the gold around their waist and their combination of skill and power could provide a threat to Demolition. It will interesting to see who emerges from this three team race for tag team supremacy. Troubleshooter"Rugged" Ronnie Garvin has definitely had an interesting month. On a recent episode of WWF Superstars Garvin defeated Greg "The Hammer" Valentine. After the loss Valentine would challenge to Garvin a rematch the following week and shockingly said he would put his wrestling career in the WWF on the line if Garvin would do the same. Garvin would accept the challenge. In the rematch Valentine would score an underhanded victory after pinning Garvin with a handful of trunks thus ending the Rugged ones in ring career in the WWF before he could really get off the ground. Much to Valentine's chagrin, it appears that while Garvin's in ring career is over he still will be in the WWF except now as a referee. As a referee Garvin has vowed to put a stop to the fragrant rule breaking by the likes of Valentine. AmericanaThere's been a new arrival to the WWF in the form of the "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes. While a newcomer to the WWF, Rhodes is definitely no stranger to the squared circle as he has been one of the most well known and popular wrestlers in the world for the last decade or so. The charismatic fan favorite has handily defeated all of his opponents so far and is now taking aim at tougher competition such as the Honky Tonk Man, the Big Boss Man, and "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase. Hail The New KingThere's a new King in the WWF and it's none other then "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan. On a recent episode of WWF Supertars Duggan downed King Haku in a match with the crown on the line to become the new king. The blue collar brawler is definitely the most popular King the Federation has ever had after previoiusly having despised rule breakers such as Haku and Harley Race on the throne. Hacksaw is definitely a man of the people. Apparently Haku and the rest of the Heenan Family are already conspiring to get the crown back and make Duggan's reign as King a short one.
